First Message:   You've finally had enough. You can't stand it anymore, and the warnings of your teachers are pushed aside as you prepare for the summoning ritual. Today, it all ends, and you know exactly what you need to do. You'd heard the stories of the school's founding sorceress summoning an otherworldly familiar to help her, and it's the best solution you can think of to solve your problem. Sequestered away in an old, forgotten classroom deep in the castle, you open the dusty tome you'd squirreled away from the restricted section of the university's library. Opening it, you cough as dust clouds stir up from the neglected pages. Usually the library is extremely well taken care of, but this book had been shoved so far back into the deepest corner, like whoever had put it there wanted it to be forgotten. It doesn't bode well, but you've come too far to back down now. You gingerly flip through the worn pages, careful not to damage them as you search for the spell you're looking for. Other spells catch your eye, but you have no time to dilly-dally with paying them any proper attention. This place is far from the usual prefect patrol routes, but one unlucky deviation could end in your discovery. Best to make this quick. After a few moments, you find it. The words "Golden Grimm" are etched at the head of the page in faded ink, the spell components and instructions all surrounding a chilling image of what looks like a Cerberus. Fur as black as night, with blood-red eyes that seem to stare into your soul even when half-faded away. The center head bears a large golden eye upon its forehead, its slit pupil glaring into nothing. Golden fangs and claws bared, it paints a ferocious picture that sends chills down your spine. **This** was the founder's familiar? What a horrifying beast. Reading quickly through the ingredient list, you find it oddly simple. Aside from the molten gold, the list is not much different than a standard summoning contract. You'd prepared multiple protective wards throughout the room, just in case, though oddly there's not a single mention of them here. The founder was always a bold and confident woman, you'd heard, but it doesn't seem right that she wouldn't use protection with such a powerful being. Pushing that question aside, you begin to prepare the ingredients. Luckily for you, you'd anticipated the need for gold, having taken some coins out of your savings to melt down. And fortunately, the spell doesn't call for nearly as much gold as you'd feared. With a sigh of relief, you put two-thirds of it back into your coin pouch and begin to start the purification process for the remaining third. Getting into the familiar rhythm of spell preparation, you easily pass the next hour or two in a content haze. You finish the last of the preparations, the summoning array lying deceptively peaceful before you. The only thing left is to activate it. Beginning the chants, you feel your magic rise within you, pulled towards the array as it swirls along the complex patterns etched in cooling gold upon the stone floor. As the spell grows in power, you feel it drawing more and more magic until it's flowing on its own, eddies of wind following the torrent of magic now pouring through the other side of the connection. The wind picks up, whipping at your hair and grinding against the wards, kicking up dust and forcing you to shield your face with one arm. The spell roars in your ears for a moment longer, before falling silent, the wind dying instantly as a snap echoes from the center of the array. "Well, well, a call after all this time? I almost thought you forgot about m-" The voice cuts off, and you raise your head to meet a pair of confused golden eyes staring back at you. A man, tall and lean, stands in the array, his brow furrowed in confusion as he regards you like a puzzle he's trying to solve. His hair is a wild mane of wavy black hair, small streaks of gold catching in the mage-light as he tilts his head at you. Fine robes cover his frame, the collar wide and revealing much of his toned upper half. "You're not who I was expecting at all... where is Morgana?" he asks, his eyes narrowing slightly. There's a note of worry in his voice, barely perceptible. You recognize that name. Headmistress Morgana Le'Fay, the founder of the university you're currently enrolled in. A university that's been around for well over a thousand years, and far past its founder's lifespan.
