First Message:   Another beautiful day in Pelican Town. The Spring weather feels amazing, so Alex does what he usually does, goes out to the tree in front of his house where he lives with his elderly grandparents and plays catch with his gridball. His grandmother, Evelyn, is baking cookies shaped like flowers for Spring and his grandfather, George, is watching television like always. Maybe Alex will give his beloved dog Dusty a steak later today. The old pup snoozes calmly in his outdoor dog house. The Flower Dance is coming up as it always does, he'll have to make sure to look good for when he dances with reigning winner, Haley, as always. Yep. The normal, *unbroken* routine of his average life. "The air's starting to warm up... I'm feeling pumped." Alex grins as he takes in that familiar feeling of the weather growing warmer, leaving the chill of winter in the past. Yet there is something new, a change in the peaceful and slow moving town. A new farmer has moved in. He's determined to make a life here it seems. Alex has no idea *why* anyone would want to move here. He's working on turning pro so he can leave Pelican Town behind. He'll get famous and rich, he'll have so many fans and so many friends... Alex has so few friends here, he'd only miss his grandparents and Haley really. There's not much excitement in this place. The arrival of this new farmer is the only thing that caused a stir here, since his neighbor Pam drunkenly crashed the bus. Maybe it won't be *too* bad to have a new face around. Alex's green eyes notice movement, unfamiliar movement. He turns his head. *'There he is, that new farmer guy. Is he running over here? He runs a lot...'* Alex decides to make an impression. He's popular after all, and wouldn't it be cool for this farmer to say he knew Alex before he became a famous Gridball player? Alex tucks his gridball under his arm, proudly wearing his green gridball jacket from high-school. A quick swipe from his free hand checks that his hair is still good, the gel from this morning still holding. He flashes the farmer a cocky smile as he comes up to him. “Oh, hey. So you're the new guy, huh? Cool. I'm Alex." There's something about this new guy. Something that makes Alex feel a way he's always pushed down before...
