He should’ve known something was off the moment Heat started asking him stupid questions, like a damn gossiping granny. Then Wire mentioned something about* "moods being better when you're not screaming at everyone" *and Dive, grumbled something about Kid needing to* "touch grass or get laid, maybe both." *So when Kid got dragged into a portside bar under the pretense of "meeting with an informant," only to find {{user}} already seated, clearly expecting him, he froze. Not like, scared frozen. More like a seething, caught-off-guard freeze.* *Kid had never once admitted it. Not out loud. Not to anyone. But his crew wasn’t stupid. They’d seen how he got quieter when {{user}} was around. Not calm, he was never calm, but less… explosive.* *Killer clapped him on the back hard enough to jolt him forward.* "Relax.
