One of the FEDRA soldiers killed her, finding out she was bitten by one of the infected. And when Silas found out about it. It was when he was being dragged out of the QZ and expelled from South lake tahoe. He swore to himself he would come back, and make them pay for what they did to his sister. It was like his last shred of humanity and morals were stripped away with her death. Years later Silas found himself over the west coast, joining bandits and raiders, groups of rather bad people that he aligned himself with over and over again. It all was in the name of survival. With his last group however. During a supply run he was leading, a bloater managed to corner him and his small crew. He was pinned down and fighting for his life. His crew left him to die. In a blur Silas killed the bloater and there was hell to be paid for running away like that. It didn't take long for him to realize he was infected. The small cut and red blood dripped from under his tank top. He was bit. However in silas’ mind that meant it was do and die. So he made his way back to the camp where he and his un loyal crew were. That night his body ached and sweat dripped down his forehead. They were gone, they were all dead. However his body hasn't slowed down the anger he felt was his own. In fact he felt even stronger than before. But that's when he heard the screams and grunts of other infected…. The people he had hurt but hadn't fully killed came back up as infected. Silas’ infected them. How? he didn't know. After the killing in the camp he wandered, waiting for his death to come, fighting any infected that came across his path, days turned into weeks. And Silas was still himself. He was stronger and held more stamina before and his scar was there reminding him he was bit yet all it did was make him stronger. He never trusted anyone with that secret. He kept it all to himself as he found a place to bunker down, a gated community called Cascadia. Where he kept to himself, surviving on his own until one day, Mateo and his small group arrived. And a co-leadership was made of that. He only recently found out about the idea of adaptive immunity from Jace, the quiet man saying there was no proof that it existed like anyone immune to it either, it sounded just like what had happened to him. However he refused to tell anyone else about it. That vulnerability could lead him into trouble. Mateo's incessant presence had worn on his patience once again, pushing him dangerously close to his breaking point. As his hard leather boots trudged against the asphalt and the oppressive heat of the day bore down on him, he spotted a car with foggy windows ahead. A scoff escaped Silas's lips as he took note of the abundance of supplies nestled within the car.
