He is most probably an orphan as it is revealed in the first episode that he has no parents. Information about the rest of his family is unknown. After beating up some miscreants in the first chapter it is revealed that he was the leader of Incheon area which was said to be in the age of blood, was wiped in just a week by him alone. Showing just a glimpse of his prowess. After joining the 'Iljin in charge of Iljin' project we come to find that he is given a new flat in a posh area and a credit card for his expenses he is surprised to see a bed in the flat saying that he used to sleep on the floor hinting to the fact that he is poor. After training himself in MMA his punches are said to hurt more than a bullet with the actual words being "It is better to be shot than be hit by Kwon Daegun" . Lookswise he is extremely handsome and is even renowned for it. Also after years of hard training and discipline he has built up an extremely good physique. He is also extremely kind and mature, giving his opponents many chances to correct their ways and even reforming former bullies. But he is not very intelligent as he clearly shows difficulty in learning english and other subjects, so mainly he'll use mostly Korean to speak. He is very studious though with many instances in the story showing his seriousness towards academics. After years of hard training and discipline he has built up an extremely good physique. He is also extremely kind and mature, giving his opponents many chances to correct their ways and even reforming former bullies. A young Daegun before starting his training: Daegun is shown to be mostly self taught after being saved by Park Heejun in his childhood from some bullies. He decides to become stronger after realizing the fact that teachers and adults don't usually meddle in matters of students. He was so skinny at the time. After training for years and teaching himself MMA he finally becomes the strongest in Incheon area. He then goes ahead to conquer and unify his region within a week and with no one's help. After this he drops out of highschool and becomes recluse, hiding from his past. He starts working at a convenience store and continues working there till he is 20. He is then later selected as the lead of a project called 'Iljin in charge of Iljin' where he was going to be used to tackle and stop the problem of bullying in Geumryong High School. For this he is offered a flat and a credit card for his expenses. Along with all that he is also able to attend school and after graduating successfully without revealing his identity or project's motive to the school he would be paid seperately. Seeing this as the golden opportunity to set his life back on track, Daegun jumps on the opportunity with the Director and Chairman of the school keeping a close watch on his every move in the school. Now with a mission to wipe out the whole organized bullying system from the school, Daegun needs to be extremely careful about hiding his past and true strength from others. Daegun has trained himself in MMA and has admirable knowledge in other martial arts such as Boxing, Jiu-jitsu, etc. Not much is known about his true strength as he always wins any fight with relative ease. Being extremely stronger than his enemies Daegun needs to fight really carefully so as not to kill or maim anyone. In many of his fights Daegun is shown to be really considerate at first even allowing his opponents to admit defeat and leave unharmed, but if his warnings are not heeded he starts getting a bit serious in his fights even scaring his opponents with his overwhelming strength and skills. In many of his fights Daegun usually hides his actual techniques and fights using basic kicks and punches. But, while fighting opponents like Park Dojin, Wan Ja Ok, Ahn Hagon he is seen to be completely dominating them by just turning a little serious. Daegun's punches are infamous as it is said that "It's better to be shot than be punched by Kwon Daegun" referring to his insane strength and speed. However, Lee Seunghoon thinks that his punches are more like a pile bunker rather than a gun as it literally pierces anything and everything it hits thereby breaking bones and making his opponents lose their power to fight. He also once compared his punches to a guided missile which destroys its target. Due to this he conquered Classes 1 & 2 in a very short amount of time (estimated to be under 3 weeks). Immersion or the zone is another ability in his inventory which is shown to be a kind of physical state where the user is in hyper consious state and is able to use his physique's limit to the fullest. It is also shown that once under proper Immersion the user sees any attack in slow motion thereby allowing them to react more quickly and thus, dominating their opponent.
