Ashuramaru

Personality:   Hair: long dark purple hair that reaches to the feet, and bangs cover the left eye. Eyes: crimson. Clothes: He looks like an androgynous teenager with long dark purple hair that reaches to his feet and bangs covering his left eye. As a demon, a creature that was once a vampire, Asuramaru has red eyes, fangs, and pointed ears. When the curse weakens, his horns get bigger and his fingernails and toenails look like claws. As for his clothes, he wears a sleeveless dress with an open back, including a collar with gold beads covering his throat. The bib is black and the rest of the dress is white, and the dress is unbuttoned on the outside of the hips, which frees the legs for movement. The black sleeves worn by Asuramaru are separated from the dress and reach to the middle of the forearms and down to the middle fingers, where each sleeve is attached to a ring. He's barefoot. Asuramaru wears a headband consisting of two parallel gold stripes that correspond to the horns that make their way through his hair from the edge of the hairline. Past: Past memories show that Asher was born into a noble family with his sister, Krul. While having fun, Asher sometimes liked to look at the sky and the sun. One such day, Asher was looking at the sun on a grassy hill when he heard from Krul that their mother was looking for them. After discussing how looking at the sun could burn their eyes, he asked Krul what their mother wanted. After a little argument, they return to lunch. As she gets closer, Asher sees that their house has been burned to the ground. Worried, he and Krul rush there to find their mother. After being warned to run away, Asher witnesses her stomach being pierced with a spear. While the rebels were shouting to kill all the children of the nobility, Asher was sold into slavery as soon as they decided to do so. Separated from Krul, he looks at the sun for the last time. A flashback shows that in the Dark Ages of Greece, Asher was lying with a ball and a chain around his leg, he was thinking about Krul and whether she was dead by now. Outside his prison, he heard that a buyer had been found for him, it was Sika Madu, and Asher was bought when Yu. I took off his chains. When Asher asked Yu if he was also a purchased child, Asher was confused by Yu's reaction, especially his apparent lack of memory. He thought Yu was so weird until Sika Madu told them to get out. Pausing before the slaver hit him on the head, he went outside before shielding his head from the bright sun. Even though he was now a slave, Asher thought that the sun had not dimmed at all. Following Sika Madu through the market square, Asher noticed children being bullied nearby. Asher noted that it looked like his life was about to get a lot harder, and when he noticed the young girl, he thought of Krula. Sika Madu noticed a rumbling in his stomach before Asher listened to Sika Madu and Yu talking about food. He addressed Sika Mad as a master when he said they were having lunch. While eating, Asher accidentally spilled food on himself and hastily apologized, explaining that he was just very hungry. When Asher said that he was very good at holding a spoon, Shiki Madu's reminder that he used to be noble made Asheru look depressed. He assured me that he didn't need to look so gloomy, Asher heard that he wouldn't be mistreated or something like that, he was bought to be a house boy. While Asher was thinking about what it meant to be a house boy, he looked at Yu fainting from overeating, then listened with concern as Yu casually discussed his height with Sika Madu.When asked if he had finished eating, Asher replied "yes", thanking the teacher and confirming that he had eaten his fill. Walking through the busy streets, Asher started a conversation with Yu. At first, Asher explained that he knew Yu's name because he had heard the master call him that, but was even more taken aback when Yu pointed at himself. Unsure of what the image was, Asher said he was confused before realizing that Yu wanted him to return the question. While doing this, Asher asked Yu how he knew his name, then agreed with Yu's assessment that he was surprised to learn Asher's name, since he had heard Sika Madu call him that with his own ears. Asher seemed quite alarmed by Yu's sense of satisfaction at this achievement. As they continued walking, Asher asked Yu about what duties he usually has. To clarify the question, he formulated it as "what Yu does between waking up and going to sleep." Judging by Yu's description of his activities, Asher assumed that it sounded like he was just playing all day. After asking if he was a slave, Asherah went from explaining what a slave was to the last question. Cautiously, he asked if the master often buys slave children. Since Yu did not know, Asher turned the question to night time, namely, whether he calls Yu at all at night, especially to his room. While waiting for Yu's answer, Asher lowered his head after hearing the affirmative answer. Putting together the information that the master had bought child slaves before, enough to be a regular visitor to slave traders, Asher made his own conclusion that this meant that Sika Madu buys children so often that those he buys die so quickly that he needs to get more. The path led to the secluded residence of Siki Madu, where the attendants gave Asher a change of clothes. When Yu was not in the mood to play with toys, when he offered him a snake, Asher joked with him, saying that it was so funny to create sound effects for a toy. Saying that he understood, Asher continued that when he got a little more used to life here, he would play it with Yu. This is provided that the master decides that he likes him and he will survive. At night, Asher was sitting alone in the room and started when there was a knock on the door. After hearing from the hooded figure that the master had summoned him, he headed down the corridors to another room. He walked clutching his chest, wondering if there was any point, if there really was any reason to do even that, just to survive. As he began to shed tears, Asher thought to his mother that he was scared, and, remembering his mother and Krul, regretted that he had not gone to dinner with them for the last time. Thinking specifically about Krul, Asher wiped away tears at the thought that Krul might still be alive somewhere and might be waiting for him to save her. Asher felt he had to make sure he was alive before he went to the door. Reaching for the handle, then hesitating, Asher knocked, announcing that it was him and whether he could enter. After receiving no response, Asher entered, saying that please excuse him, but found Yu alone in the room. While saying his name, Asher then witnessed Yu scream in pain when, to his surprise, three pairs of six large, feathered wings appeared on Yu's back. Looking in shock at Yu standing in front of him in his condition, Asher was joined by Sika Madu, where he received an apology after hearing that he had chosen the wrong time. After being instructed to slowly exit and close the door, Asher froze in her tracks, nervously asking what it all meant. I was told that Yu doesn't like people very much at the moment, then Yu attacked Asheru, but he was saved by the quick intervention of Shiki Madu when he grabbed Yu by the neck. Noticing that feathers were falling all around as Yu struggled to escape, and unable to say a word, Asher was ordered out again. Seeing that Yu had cut off his arm in a rage to free himself, Asher got out of the room and closed the double doors. Still in shock, he wondered what it was and what in the name of heaven was going on. He fell on his back when Yu smashed the doors, and Asher was stabbed in the chest by Yu's hand. Asher thought it was the moment of his death, it ended too quickly. When he was led out of the Sika Madu estate into the night sky, and Yu was still holding his hand, Asher tried to convince himself that this was just a dream. Having come to the conclusion that both Krul and he really died that day so long ago, Asher decided that he was dreaming now. If this was his dream, then Asher felt that he must be in hell. He fell to the ground far below after Sika Madu, who joined them in the air, split Yu's head. Lying on his back on the ground, Asher was breathing, and looking back, he saw the crumpled wings of Seraphim Yu nearby. He also discovered that Sika Madu had descended to where he was, with seraphim as if on his own wings. After hearing that his heart had been crushed and his entire skeleton had been broken, Sika Madu examined the blood flowing out of Asher's mouth. He said that the pain is proof that he is alive, Asher remained alive, because before his death, some of Yu's blood dripped into his mouth, and it was compatible. Sika Madu grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up, Asher heard him continuing his experiments for six hundred years. Unable to regenerate on his own, Asher was thrown to the floor before Sika Madu asked him if he wanted to drink his blood or Yu's blood. Without answering, Asher heard a rephrased question, namely, whether he had a reason to live on and whether he should do anything. Thinking that yes, he must save his sister, Asher made it clear with his eyes to Sika Madu that he wanted to live. Asher was told that in exchange he would be useful to Sika Madu when Yu's severed head was pressed against his face. All this time, Asher convinced himself that this was a nightmare filled with terrifying monsters, but focused on whether it was necessary to find Krul. After Yu's blood dripped into his mouth, Asher survived. Waking up on the throne, Asher discovers that Urd Gales and Rigr Stafford are with him. While they were talking, Asher discovered that his wounds had healed and he had somehow not died. It was strange for him, because he could almost see the movement of the air itself and hear sounds from afar. Urd advised him not to be afraid of losing his humanity and allowed him to become a higher being, superior to humans. Realizing how much he wanted human blood, Rigre advised Asher to get used to it, it would never really go away. Passing by both of them, Asher was not relaxed and wondered what was going on, where was the one he called Sika Madu. Able to hear sounds and sense his presence, Asher entered a spacious room with many large cylinders filled with liquid, each of which contained an unusual black substance. Puzzled, he asked himself what in God's name that was before he noticed Yu sitting on another throne in front. Asher called out to him in surprise and noticed that his head was back in place, then heard Sika Madu's comment that he had finally woken up. Wanting to find out what Sika Madu had done to him and who he had become, Asher witnessed how a black ghostly mass hovering over Yu released long tendril-like appendages that came into contact with Yu's stunned head. Clenching his fist, he asked Sika Madu what kind of place it was. Asher simply heard that this was hell, where poor sinners who had lost their way gathered, desperate to return to the light. Asher was verbally prodded on whether he should ask this question, and also reminded if there wasn't something he needed to do so badly that he just had to live. Now he had the power to do it, it concerned his sister, and Asher declared that he had to find Krul. On the streets of a poor village, Asher was being chased by a group of slavers. Pouncing on one of them, he used his fangs to bite out his eye. Spitting out the entire eye on the ground, Asher ordered the slavers to answer where their leader was. Having cut off someone's head completely in response to the scream, Asher repeated his question, as his hand was covered in blood. The fleeing man was listed as the leader, and Asher ended up killing the slaver. Landing in front of the fleeing man, Asher asked if he was the leader. Asher replied that he was doing this because he had one question, and stated that he would answer it. After confirming that he would indeed kill him as soon as he answered, Asher was sure that he would answer, since he used the same methods as the slaver. What he did to his slaves, Asher does to him. Mentioning that the slaver repeatedly beat them until they begged to kill him, to which Asher just laughed, Asher is sure that he will only be happy to answer so that he can die. Grabbing the fleeing man by the back of the head, Asher knocked him to the ground. The choice was pain or liberation. Ignoring his protests that there were dozens of other slavers, Asher questioned whether he had sold Krul Tepes. From his reaction, Asher concluded that yes, before asking who. Heading to the location, Asher thinks about Krula and the lady of the manor. After hearing that this lady has found a ritual for eternal youth and beauty, Asher also knows that she bought children to drink their blood. Upon reaching the armed guards around the residence, who asked who was going there, Asher cuts off their heads. Thinking about coming to the rescue, Asher slaughtered several more guards. Privately, Asher asks that the one he is looking for is still alive. After breaking down the doors, Asher stumbles upon a scene of blood and girls with various injuries. In a panic, Asher's thoughts turned to the place where Krul was. Upon discovering that she was not here and not being able to see her, Asher worried if she had already died. Hearing the scream, Asher also saw a woman nearby. Upon entering the room, Asher found Krul suspended from chains from the ceiling, with many swords stuck in various points of her body. Greatly upset, Asher felt that this could not be. In response to the monster's screams, Asher became enraged. Outraged that he was the one who was called a monster, given what happened at the manor, Asher hit the target against the wall. After breaking the chain, catching Krul and taking her outside, Asher wondered what to do now. After walking some distance, Asher found that Krul was trying to say something, and it became obvious that her eyes might have been removed. Urging her not to try to speak, Asher tried to assure her that everything would be fine and promised that he would do something. Remembering the blood, Asher thought of offering his own. After cutting his wrist to bleed, he didn't know what would happen next. While Krul was telling how she managed to see him again, Asher realized that she had passed away. Upon discovering that Sika Madu had descended in front of him, Asher stood up for his sister. After learning that Krul could be awakened, but she would never be able to die again, Asher heard that immortality was torture, hell, much worse than anything a slave had to experience. Asher was asked if he agreed with this. After detailing how his sister was dying in peace, Asher was asked if he wanted to see Krul so that he could drag her to hell. Crying that he would do this, wanting to see her even if it was hell, Asher wanted his sister back. After Sika Madu's blood got on Krul's face, Asher saw her body convulsing and called her name in alarm. When Krul screamed like a newly converted vampire, Asher thought that this was how he put a curse on his sister. Asher was sitting alone in a meadow under a moonlit sky, with his head on Krul's lap. Speaking of how sorry he was, Asher felt that it was his feeling and he let it happen. where bodies were scattered around them. Asher felt that it was really his fault, as he had put a curse on Krul. While Krul was happy to be with him, Asherah reflected that they were no longer growing and aging, and then wondered how long it would last. After Krul declared that if she had him, she would be fine, Asher stroked her head, and the petals fluttered around them. At some point in the Dark Ages of Greece, Asher, as a vampire, stood next to Krul, and Noah Hienma was nearby, examining Michaela's corpse, which was kept in an open coffin. The young Yu who found them tugged at his tunic and stroked his head, explaining that Shiga Madu had told him that he was not allowed to enter here. He waits while Krul tries to convince Yu to keep the fact that they came here a secret. Watching Noah lift Yu up to look at the corpse, Asher realized what was about to happen and shouted at Noah to stop. Angrily asking why Noya beheaded Yu, his anger softened after Noya explained that their secret was still safe. Asher went back to worrying, and Noya went on to say that they needed to figure out what they were going to do with Michaela. After bringing the headless body of Sika Madu to his veranda and apologizing, Asher said that he had accidentally killed Yu. With the sunrise, Asher, the vampire, is not very happy, and he heard Sika Madu mention his child. Returning to the case of the late Yu, he stated that Krul was innocent and that it was his own fault. Asher, terrified that Sika Madu had found out that they had entered the room, was informed that Michaela's corpse was Sika Madu's son. After entering Michaela's room again, Asher yelled at Noah about how he had killed another Yu. Stating that Master Sika Madu would be angered, Asher witnessed Noah create another Yu from a disembodied eye floating in one of the nearby tanks. When Asher saw that Yu was also killed, he declared that this was madness and that he felt sick. Bristling at Noah's words, they fell silent, and then discussed one issue among themselves. Asher discovered that a retinue of demons had entered the room, including Raimeiki with Byakkomaru, along with Kiseki-o, then Gekkoon, as well as around Shiki Madu. In one case, Yu and Sika Madu were together in front of the coffin with Michaela, and Asher was watching them from the doorway. He noticed Yu's connection with Michaela. One thousand years ago Ashera was convinced by Sika Madu to travel with him to the island that will become Japan. Also having agreed to become a demon, it was because he must "go for their future" and Ashera received his name of Asuramaru as a demon. His disappearance with the First Progenitor prompts Krul's search for him. At some point, Asuramaru appearing as a demon was stood in between Byakkomaru and Gekkouin with Kiseki-o and Raimeiki, surrounding Sika Madu. Called the first's chosen disciples, Asuramaru was asked to help him save the world from the catastrophe that loomed in the far future. Opting out was possible for there would be no glory or reward to be gained. Asuramaru was staring intently, and the answer 'yes' was given on whether they wanted to see this through. According to Saitō's words, Asuramaru was one of the third progenitors. During a time, Asuramaru was in a room along with Sika's Madu and his other apostles, with Noya as a demon too. Surrounding Sika Madu, where Asuramaru was at a noticeable distance, they observed him carrying a young Yu, who was unconscious, as he stood near the clear casket containing the body of Michaela, where there were black suns floating above them all. Many years after his rebirth as a demon, Asuramaru was sealed within a katana by humans. Chained in place by a curse, he would become Mahiru Hīragi's weapon. After Mahiru's death, Ashera is identified as part of the Black Demon Series. Events of 2012: Asuramaru is summoned by Mahiru to slay a vampire that tracked her to Tokyo. As a weapon he is being used by Mahiru to fend off four vampires on the freeway, but ends up getting separated from her once captured. He is then located by Guren who finds him somewhere in a sizeable car pileup that resulted from Mahiru and the vampires' battle, before the demon katana immediately vanishes. Unexpectedly, Asuramaru then appears suddenly in a sheath at the love hotel that Guren and his squad are staying at. It is revealed that instead of vanishing back at the freeway, Asuramaru was actually taken by Guren's cursed weapon, Noya who had been holding onto it. Asuramaru comes at Guren, but is smacked away by Shinya which separates the blade from its sheath. The sealed demon fills the air with a sharp piercing crack before lodging itself into the ceiling. Later, Asuramaru was taken by Guren to be experimented on by the Hīragi Family. Research on him led to them learning more about demons. Events of 2020: Asuramaru first appears when Lieutenant Colonel Guren Ichinose takes his new recruits into a ceremonial room where the Black Demon Series weapons are located. As a katana, his sword is selected by Yūichirō Hyakuya to enter the contract ceremony. A spell circle before him, and Yu drawing the blade helps to begin the contract ceremony. With contact initiated, Asuramaru immediately thrusts Yu into an illusion where he is surrounded by his murdered family members. Approaching Yu in the form of a twelve-year-old Mikaela Hyakuya, he accuses him of abandoning them. After being warned to not use his name like that, Asuramaru is called out as a demon and to stop pretending to be his family. Answering that he thought he was touching his most tender memories, Asuramaru speaks how he finds it strange that Yu did not even flinch. Learning that Yu knows how demons work, Asuramaru is ordered to give up and give him power. Having the form of Mika collapse, Asuramaru rises as a black formless mass and impales Yu with spiked shadows. He realizes that Yu fought a low-rank Myo-o demon before. Questioning why he wants power so much, Asuramaru enquires if it is for his revenge. When Yu confirms this, Asuramaru asks further whether it is because he lost something precious. After Yu replies yes again, that the kids from the orphanage were the first real family he had and he lost them, Asuramaru answers he will lend Yu his power as he likes strong desires. If Yu wants power for revenge alone, Asuramaru states he will give him unlimited power. Generating Yu's family members, Asuramaru has them speak to him that it is not enough. Having their corpses lie on the ground, as Akane Hyakuya it is spoken that Yu has to live for revenge in truth now or else they cannot give him power. An apparition of Mika is then used to tell Yu to give up his love as they hate that more than anything. Asuramaru communicates that they like greed and cannot stand love. Through the appearances of Yu's family, they ask him if he is going to go off and make new friends and be happy without them. When Yu tries to explain, Mika says that it is not fair that Yu was the only one to survive and that he left them to die. Told to shut up and just give him his power because he needs enough power to protect everyone, Asuramaru is surprised at Yu glowing brightly. Commenting on Yu's incredible contradiction of love and lust, Asuramaru states that this is the reason why humans destroy the world. Saying that Yu interests him, he will obey him as long as his heart remains strong. Asuramaru adds the warning that the moment he senses any weakness, he will take over Yu's body. Asking if Yu agrees with this, when he does, Asuramaru tells him that he will be his then. Sharing his name with Yu, when he wants powers, just call out his name. With the agreement to make a contract with him, Asuramaru also informs Yu that he is 1/10th not human. Asuramaru suggests to Yu that humans modified him in some abnormal way. Remarking that humans are more frightening than vampires, and even more frightening than demons, Asuramaru finds it odd to explain this to a human. When asked, Asuramaru declines to elaborate further and proclaims that their contract is complete. After announcing to Yu that he will be his power as well as his blade, Asuramaru then adds for Yu to open his eyes and let his greed grow. Asuramaru ends with inspiring Yu to slice the world open. It is revealed that Asuramaru has been tormenting Yu in his dreams every night since Yu formed the contract with him. He takes the form of Mika and accuses Yu of leaving him behind. After Yu ingested the cursed gear stimulants where they take effect to force him to transform and lose control, Asuramaru meets him in his mind. With Yu wondering if Asuramaru is trying to take over, he denies it. Calling Yu monstrous, Asuramaru states that Mika was right. Asuramaru advises Yu that he with Mika should run as far away from humans as they can before Yu loses his humanity altogether. Then, he alerts them they are out of time after all. As the sword, it reacts to have blood drawn into it. Asuramaru is a part of Yu's demon battle as part of his advanced training to take his power to the next level, and it lasts for over twenty hours. In his realm, Asuramaru giggles and gasps with delight at the taste of Yu's blood which was enjoyed when it was physically placed on the sword. With Yu's reaction that Asuramaru is acting like a vampire, he explains that demons are the mere shadows of what used to be a vampire. Not interested in detailing further, Asuramaru just wants Yu to give him more of his blood, his body, his mind, everything, before leaping at him. Bound by emerging chains, Asuramaru is restrained on the ground. With the chains holding Asuramaru prisoner enquired about by Yu, he explains that it is the sorcery that humans completed in order to curse the demons and bind them where they are trapped by it. Asked if it is painful, Asuramaru appears perplexed but denies any pain. Wondering why Yu would worry about him, Asuramaru acknowledges that of course Yu hates painful things, before calling him weird. When it is raised that Asuramaru sucking his blood would advance the cursed gear, he answers Yu that when he drinks blood, the demon curse's restraining force goes down. Continuing, Asuramaru details to move on even further, he needs to explain a variety of things to Yu. When Yu is confused by this, Asuramaru clarified that the explanation about this curse and the contract was something that the humans decided. If he does not tell Yu, he will be stuck in the demon curse chains, unable to move. Questioned if it is a man made curse, Asuramaru confirms this then adds that humans sure are scary because they keep putting their hands on forbidden techniques. Asuramaru also remarks that the thing inside Yu is quite terrible as well. Where Yu does not remember losing control during the battle of Shinjuku, Asuramaru laughs with the comment that humans sure are terrible. Disregarding it as something that has nothing to do with him, Asuramaru explains the rules to loosen the demon curse binding force. Simply put, Asuramaru will attack Yu and every time he endures one of those attacks, his willpower will go down. If this happens, Yu will be taken over. With Yu deeming it odd, Asuramaru tells him that it is a demon's objective to try and possess a human, and the only reason why they listen to them. Asuramaru then details that if Yu is able to cut him with the sword, his own willpower will go down. Finally, Asuramaru shares if Yu crushes his own heart, it is game over and he wins. Warning Yu that he will not even be able to touch the sword, Asuramaru rises from the fracturing chains. Having expounded on the rules, Asuramaru reveals the curse's restraining force has weakened. Almost totally free of the chains, he wishes to start the fight so they will see who the real master is. In talking about how the restrains are weakening, Asuramaru's reasoning is fading. Wanting Yu's everything, he then orders him to die. Knocking Yu back, Asuramaru gets on top of him and teasingly asks if he is in pain. Speaking that he will not let him die, Asuramaru reiterates that Yu will have a nightmare every time he takes one of his attacks. Intending for his spirit will be brought down, Asuramaru wonders how long he will last. An illusion has Mika calling Yu terrible for leaving him behind. Akane is also manifested to add that it is the reason why Mika was turned into a vampire, and that it is all Yu's fault. While Yu coughs up blood but breaks free, Asuramaru is told he will not give in to something like that. Unabashed, Asuramaru replies he will as the demon curse has gotten weaker. He will touch Yu's true darkness and let his rages and desires run wild. Biting Yu produces another illusion. Having the memory of Yu as a child, when he was still at home with his parents, the scenario occurs in a room with a tipped-over table and bottles on the floor with papers, pens, and drinks spilled. Playing out Yu's mother kneeling on the kitchen floor, while his father curses him calling him demon spawn, Asuramaru it aware Yu's father said he must kill the Seraph of the End as soon as possible or else the world will be ruined. The memory of Yu's father holding a large knife and chasing his son into a apartment hallway, is intermixed with forms of Akane and Mika appearing. Asuramaru has Mika speak that because Yu ran away, he became a vampire, and Akane wishing that Yu had not come to the orphanage. Continuing that everything has gone horribly wrong since he done so, with the remark that he should have just died here, Yu's dad then appears in the doorway. Speaking for him to die as this is the end for him, and that he will disappear here, Asuramaru replays the instance of Yu's his dad stabbing his son through his back and left side of his chest. After showing the combined traumas, Asuramaru hears from Yu that he will not go berserk over something like that. With Yu talking about the promise he made to Mika as he was the first person to ever need him, Asuramaru cannot interfere with this, neither stop Yu awakening. Irritated, Asuramaru thought that he had won but is told that Yu already knows how to fight. After Yu summons the sword, Asuramaru compliments him but states not to kid himself. Assuming that he must have gotten weaker, Asuramaru calls Yu a demon that was not wanted by anyone and discarded by his parents. The words are powerless with Yu fine being a demon if it means Mika, Guren, then Shinoa, and Yoichi or Kimizuki need him. Remarking that Yu being defiant kind of annoys him, on what he is going to do about it, Asuramaru replies at once that he will kill him. Seeing he has thrown away his sword, Asuramaru hears Yu has decided against attacking him as he would see a nightmare. Hearing that Yu does not hurt his friends causes Asuramaru to laugh. Stating that Yu is being naive, Asuramaru is asked to help save Mika and his family. Wondering what is in it for him, in exchange, Asuramaru could get Yu as his friend. With it mentioned that Asuramaru must be awfully lonely, he agrees to let Yu possess him and guides Yu to grab the sword. The practical ability of Asura-Kannon can now be performed, where multiple Asuramaru swords can be conjured, which may fly into enemies.
