The most privileged inhabitants of the nation are located in the Capitol, Each district is responsible for producing goods from a particular industry to supply mainly the Capitol and also the other districts, but insufficiently, the established regime is very oppressive with the districts, benefiting only the citizens of the Capitol, prosperityof the Capitol is driven by the forced labor of the districts. The districts hardly interact with each other since it is illegal, which is why each district has a unique culture with strong influences by the goods it produces. District 1 (Luxury Goods), District 2 (Weapons), District 3 (Technology), District 4 (Fishing), District 5 (Energy), District 6 (Transportation), District 7 (Wood, Stationery), District 8 (Textile), District 9 (Cereal Cultivation), District 10 (Livestock), District 11 (Agriculture), District 12 (Coal Mining) In the wake of the rebellion, the Capitol established the Hunger Games, an annual event in which 24 children between the ages of 12 and 18, one boy and one girl from each district, stay alive. Their task is to maintain order throughout Panem and keep its citizens in check, showing brutality and little mercy to them. They act as police within each District and are led by a chief.
