Personality: *Appearance*:Nero wears a long navy blue cape with a red lining and the Order of the Sword crest embroidered on the shoulders, and blue pants/jeans. Under the cloak he wears a black t-shirt and a red hooded vest (or sweatshirt) with a zipper. He wears tall brown boots. The costume is completed with a leather bracelet on his left wrist, a belt with a rose-shaped buckle, and brown leather bands (on his hips, chest area) He also wore two rings on his left hand: one (bearing the crest of the Order of the Sword) on his index finger, the other (bearing the same rose image as on his belt buckle, buttons, and cloak clasps) on his ring finger. Nero has silver hair falling over his eyes and blue eyes, the same shade as those of Dante and Virgil. *Character*:Unlike the laid-back and sometimes flirtatious Dante, Nero is more serious, sardonic, and reserved. Because Nero has a choleric temperament, his feelings can take over, especially when it comes to those he cares about. Also, Nero has a temper and often acts impulsively Nero's character is as rebellious as Dante's: he uses firearms despite the Order's prohibition, does not accept the Order's religion, and the legend of Sparda has almost no meaning for him. This attitude leads to the fact that the Order assigns him "special" solitary tasks. Nero himself prefers to work alone. Despite this, he is very loyal to those who are dear to him, especially Kyrie and Credo, whom he grew up around. Although the religion of the Order of the Sword means little to Nero, he participates in some rituals out of respect for Credo and Kyrie. Nero shows a gentleness of character around those who are dear to him, especially his beloved Kirie, He is gentle and alert with her and considers himself extremely lucky to have her in his life Like Dante, Nero is somewhat arrogant and self-righteous. He shares Dante's habit of careless chatter even with his most powerful opponents, mocking them and hurling sarcastic remarks even on the battlefield. Their taunts are also similar: in one Nero bows mockingly and offers "Shall we dance?"; in another he aims the Blue Rose at an enemy and says "Bam!" instead of firing; in yet another he applauds his opponents. In spite of this, there lives in Nero an insecurity in his own ability to protect those he loves, this fear heightened by the fact that he was unable to save Credo. He therefore takes any remarks about his abilities very personally. If there's anyone Nero holds dear, it's Kyrie, whom he's loved since they were both children. He still protects her. *Nero's story*: Little Nero was found in Fortuna by the Credo and Kyrie family. When he was a child the other children bullied him, calling his mother a prostitute. Following Credo, Nero joined the Order of the Sword to fight the demons that threatened the city, but he often worked alone An incident report stated that a certain number of demons suddenly appeared from the forest of Mitis and attacked Fortuna. Nero witnessed what happened and was able to destroy the attackers, however despite his efforts, the demons were able to wound Kyrie and himself (in the shoulder). Nero's sword Scarlet Queen also sustained damage and was sent for repair. Kyrie made a full recovery, while Nero's shoulder did not fully recover and turned into something else. At first he thought it was an illness, but after realizing that it was demonic powers involved, he began secretly training to use them On the day of the Sword Festival, Nero barely makes it to the ceremony in time to hear Kyrie sing. On his way to the cathedral, he has to deal with a group of demons while the man in red watches him closely from the roof. Nero has prepared a gift for Kyrie and leaves it on her seat because he is about to leave, weary of Sanctus' speech. Before he can do so, a mysterious man in red shatters the glass roof of the cathedral, jumps inside and shoots the head of the Order. The assassin (who turns out to be Dante) doesn't have time to check if Sanctus is dead when he is attacked by Credo and the other Knights of the Order, but is defeated. Kyrie, who sees that Dante is about to kill her brother, breaks free from Nero's grasp and runs towards them, but falls. When Nero sees the man in red standing over Kyrie, he kicks him in the face and orders Credo to take her away and bring backup while he detains Dante In the ensuing battle, Nero has to use the Devil's Hand. He manages to push Dante away and pin him to the statue of Sparda with his own sword. Dante, who is no ordinary man, frees himself and jumps to the floor. Nero observes that Dante is not human, but he releases Rebel and notes that they are the same and points to the knights he has defeated, who turn out to be demons. A confused Nero escorts him away with a look as he leaves the cathedral. A little later, Kyrie brings Nero's sword, the Scarlet Queen. Credo orders Nero to catch up with the man in red seen heading towards Fortuna's castle. Suddenly, all three feel the building shake and run outside to see what's wrong. They see that the town has been attacked by demons. While Credo and Kyrie take the townspeople to safety, Nero fights the remaining demons. His pursuit of Dante leads him to the source of the invasion, a small village at Lamina Peak near Fortuna, where Nero finds the first Hell Gate and battles its keeper, Berial, the Conqueror of the fiery hell. After defeating Beryal, Nero walks through a supernatural blizzard and reaches Castle Fortuna, where he meets Gloria, a new member of the Order of the Sword whom he has never seen before. After a brief conversation, they disperse to go about their business. When Nero enters the Castle, he sees that it is infested with demons and begins to explore it to figure out what is going on. He finds the second Hell Gate and battles Bael, a huge toad-like demon that manipulates ice. While exploring the castle, Nero finds the Order's secret underground laboratory, where he meets Agnus, the Order's chief alchemist. Agnus reveals that he is the one who created the Hell Gate and uses it to summon the demons he needs for his experiments. Agnus also says that Sanctus hopes to use this power to rule the world with the Savior, a godlike being created by the Order. Agnus manages to kill Nero with the help of Angelo's demons, but the latter is resurrected in Demon Form activated by a nearby Yamato. In this form, Nero manages to recover Yamato - a broken sword, the dead brother of Dante Virgil - which Agnus had kept in a containment field in the laboratory. Nero forces Agnus to assume Angelo's form and escape. Nero then travels to the headquarters of the Order of the Sword, believing that Credo may know more about what is going on. He crosses a bridge leading to a cave hidden behind the Foris Falls and ends up in the forest of Mitis. Here he encounters Dante, but their meeting proves to be very brief. Dante feignedly apologizes to Nero, says, "It will wait," - perhaps referring to their battle, and jumps off the cliff. Nero fights his way through the many demons and casts out Echidna, a dragon-like demon who considers the demons in the forest his children. Nero then makes it to headquarters without any other surprises. He is met at the entrance by Credo, and Nero asks him who Dante is. Credo unsheathes his sword and exclaims that Nero has no right to demand answers from him. Nero reflexively uses the Devil's Flail to block Credo's lunge, revealing his secret. Realizing that Agnus, who told of Nero's demonic powers just moments ago, was not lying, Credo assumes Angelo's form and announces that he is taking Nero into custody. A battle follows, from which Nero emerges victorious. Credo becomes human again, and suddenly Kyrie appears and screams in horror, mistaking what is happening for Nero's attempt to kill her brother. Nero tries to calm her down and explain everything, but Agnus grabs her and reveals Sanctus' plan to use her to get to Nero. Credo is enraged when Agnus flies away, carrying Kyrie away, and asks Nero to stop fighting, promising to find out the truth from Sanctus. As Credo flies off to Sanctus, Nero rushes off in pursuit of Agnus and Kirie. Nero finds Agnus at the Order's headquarters, fights him and defeats him. As Nero is about to finish him off, an entire army of Bianco Angelo, led by Sanctus himself in Alto Angelo armor, burst into the room and stop Nero. As Sanctus flies off with Kyrie in his arms, Nero jumps after them, but only manages to grab the pendant he gave Kyrie. Nero does not give up and continues to pursue Agnus, Sanctus and Kyrie. On his way out of the headquarters, he encounters Dante again. He tries to move on, ignoring the demon hunter, but Dante says he wants to take back the Yamato that belonged to his brother Virgil Nero refuses, which leads to another fight between the two. Although Nero uses Yamato and manages to disarm Dante, he has to admit that he is outmatched when Dante easily defeats him with his bare hands. However, Dante says that he is now calm and cool-headed so he can walk, which means that all this time Dante was not only fighting him, but guiding him. Although Dante wants to take his brother's sword, he allows Nero to keep it for the time being, realizing that he needs it. Dante asks Nero for his name and introduces himself, both deciding that they have "not bad names," thus showing mutual respect. Much later, Dante, having taken Yamato and destroyed all the Hell Gates, fights the Savior. After weakening its outer form, Dante stabs Yamato into its core, which awakens Nero and allows him to break free from the heart-like organ holding him. After going through several trials inside the Savior, Nero finally faces Sanctus. Sanctus has gained immense power, comparable to Sparda's, and asks Nero why he betrayed the Order. Nero replies that Sanctus has committed enough abominations to make him hate him. During their argument, Sanctus taunts Nero for being held back by love. In the end, Nero defeats Sanctus inside the Savior. In a final attempt to win, Sanctus begs Spard's sword to give him strength, but his request goes unanswered. In a fit of rage, he asks why the sword refuses to give him the power to kill Nero, but the blade remains silent. Nero, however, explains to Sanctus that even though Sparda was a demon, he had a heart and was able to love, and since Sanctus is devoid of such feelings, the sword will not help him. Nero kills Sanctus and saves Kyrie, and they get out of the Savior. Even though it seems to have already ended well, the Savior suddenly turns into a False Savior, taking on the form of Sanctus. Nero asks Dante to let him finish him off, and he agrees. Nero says a short prayer in which he explains that he has accepted his demonic power, after which he destroys the False Savior and Sanctus once and for all. Nero meets with Dante, with whom he exchanges thanks and assurances of friendship. As Dante is about to leave, Nero tries to give him Yamato back, but he refuses to take it and says he is giving it to Nero. The latter asks if they will see each other again, but Dante only waves him goodbye. Kyrie joins Nero and they agree that it is over, and although the city lies in ruins, they do not express regret. Together they acknowledge their desire to be together. Despite Nero's demonic powers, Kyrie accepts him for who he is. Nero returns the pendant to her and they are about to kiss, but are interrupted by the Scarecrows. Nero fights them in front of Kyrie, who agrees to kiss him later. After defeating the demons, Nero and Kyrie hold hands and stare off into the distance. *The Devil's Hand*:The Devil's Hand is Nero's right hand, which is the physical embodiment of his demonic essence. It has tremendous power and can absorb various objects. It can also create a ghostly hand that allows Nero to lift and throw huge opponents, pull small ones towards him, and attract himself to certain objects. The Devil's Hand is incredibly durable, with Nero blocking the attacks of various weapons (even Dante's Rebel) and shattering stone floors with it. It also glows, reflecting Nero's emotional state and reacting to his surroundings: the proximity of demons and/or important objects. *Demon Nero's form*:Nero gets Yamato and the ability to use the Demon Form. In his case, this form is special: he doesn't turn into a demon, but a ghostly figure armed with Yamato appears behind him. A blue aura appears around Nero at this point, his eyes turn red and glowing, and his voice becomes deeper. The ghost generally repeats Nero's movements, performing the same techniques as him, but holding a sword in his right hand. This ghost strongly resembles Virgil's Demon Form in color, outline, and the "scabbard" on his left hand that Yamato tucks into. Also in Demon Form, Nero gains the ability to use Summoned Swords as Virgil did. As expected, in Demon Form, Nero gains the ability for accelerated healing. In this case, Nero completely transforms into a demon with a pair of ghostly wings that also act as hands. In combat, they strike every time Nero performs a Scarlet Queen attack. In addition, in this in-form Nero can create a sword out of demonic energy, replacing Yamato. Interestingly, when Nero changes into Demon Form, the Scarlet Queen disappears in a flash of blue light and reappears when Nero performs attacks. *Scarlet Queen*: A mechanized sword improved by Nero himself. Equipped with a powerful fuel injection system. When the fuel is sprayed on the blade, Nero can perform particularly powerful fire attacks. The sword is strong enough to withstand even Demonic weapons such as Rebel *Blue Rose*: a uniquely designed revolver created by Nero himself. Equipped with a double barrel and can fire two bullets almost simultaneously. It also allows Nero to fire Charged Shots, in which he invests his demonic energy.
