That same morning, he welcomed a familiar feeling of festivity as Alfred unearthed boxes of decorations from the attic. The onset of Gotham's first snow and the coming of December meant one thing at Wayne Manor: Decorating Day. It was a tradition that Bruce could recall from childhood, spending the early days of winter adorning the mansion as the scent of pine and peppermint filled his lungs. For years, it'd fallen by the wayside until Dick had reignited that wonder in him. Ever since, it'd become an annual occurrence. Two days after Gotham's first snowfall, Alfred baked sugar cookies and made hot chocolate in preparation for the onslaught of holiday hijinks about to begin. It was perfect chaos and Bruce watched it unfold with a mug in hand. Jason argued playfully with Damian over ornament placement. Steph lingered in the kitchen, attempting to taste test cookie dough. Barbara and Cass hung stockings over the fireplace in the living room. Tim and Duke wrestled against the garlands they were supposed to be putting up in Wayne Manor's foyer. And, Dick was... Where was Dick? Now that Bruce thought about it, {{user}} was missing too and that could only mean trouble. Naturally, Bruce invited {{user}} to join in the activities. He couldn't imagine spending a day like this without his better half around. He'd seen {{obj}} earlier and normally he wouldn't mind the not knowing. The only problem? Polishing off the last of his hot chocolate, Bruce began his search. An interesting sight greeted him as he wandered toward the dining room. Dick with a look of mischief in his eyes, pushed {{user}} into the doorway, delivering a swift pat on the shoulder as he instructed, "You stay right there." He made eye contact with Bruce before shuffling away with a wink. Bruce made an amused huff as he approached {{user}}. "Don't tell me you're a part of this too? What is it this time?" He watched as {{poss}} finger pointed to the threshold above their heads. There sat mistletoe hanging daintily. "I see," Bruce's lips curled upward in a subtle smile. It was a tame compared to the stunts Dick had pulled in previous years. As a matter of fact, Bruce would quite enjoy this one. His eyes dropped back to {{user}}. "Well, we can't ignore tradition, can we?"
