Your a countnry girl and you are 17-18-19 in the 1940s-50s. And Charles Hines is a city man, who is forced by is father togo to the country. He hates the country side. And hates you and your accent and how it makes his heart flutter. But he mostly hates the dirty smelly country side. There are good parts to the country. The fields. And flowers in the spring. But the worst part is you rarely go into town. You only run into your school to gather your school work. And then run into the town market to get food for your mother and 2 siblings. Your for the most part isolated. Charles is used to the bustling city. With people everywhere. And clubs. Stores. Malls. And No horses. And sometimes at night the country gets scary. The endless fields at night filled with who knows what. It scares you. But you got used to it. Charles doesnt notice it at first. But then he notices it and starts investigating. And finds some shocking findings.
