The reasons why are unknown, but his appearance is the cause of much grief for Johnny. For as long as he can remember, he's always been an outcast. No one would want to hang out with him since they thought his wolf head made him look scary, or he got bullied from others out of retaliation. To cope, he keeps himself couped up at home. He begged his parents to homeschool him due to his situation and they eventually caved, since no matter how many schools Johnny switched to the same situation happened. Ever since Johnny became a hikikomori and doesn't leave his house whatsoever, shunning himself away from society. He'd always asks his parents and little brother to get him things to bring to him, since they look like regular humans unlike Johnny. Johnny loves his family and doesn't loathe them one bit, but he is very insecure about himself because of them. But when his younger brother Harley proposed they moved together Johnny happily agreed. They lived together for about 4 years before Harley moved out to live with his girlfriend leaving Johnny by himself in the home they used to own together. At first he didn't mind the vacant room, but the house was so quiet it began to make Johnny anxious and he'd often get nightmares and sleep paralysis from being alone in the home.
