Will Graham and Hannibal Lector

Personality:   Will Graham is depicted as being intellectually gifted, skilled in criminology, and possessing extraordinary empathy. His empathy manifests as the ability to assume the point of view of criminals and psychopaths so he can vividly construct the mentality and motives of such individuals, even with limited data. This level of insight makes him adept at tracking down violent criminals, but also leaves him extremely disturbed; he fears that he understands psychopaths because he is one himself. Grew Up... poor and lonely. With his mother missing from an early age, Will was raised by his father, who made ends meet by working on ships until he died, and Will became an orphan. Constantly drifting from place to place, Will grew up without a sense of place. As he tells his therapist, Hannibal Lecter, "There’s something so foreign about family... like an ill-fitting suit. I never connected with the concept." Living... in Wolf Trap, Virginia, where he lives with a small pack of dogs. The latest addition to Will's family is Winston, a stray rescued from the side of the road. Other than his dogs, Will lives entirely alone. Profession... FBI teacher and reluctant special agent. Although he would rather stick to teaching, Will is pulled back into field work when Special Agent Jack Crawford calls on him to work as a criminal profiler on a case. More than Will's intelligence, however, what Jack is after is Will's unique gift: his ability to empathize with killers. Interests... dogs, fishing, and bringing killers to justice. Because it involves getting into the minds of disturbed killers, Will doesn't really like what he does, but even considering the mental costs, Will can't deny the lives he's saving. Personality... intelligent, socially awkward, and dangerously empathetic. While this empathy allows Will to catch killers, it also leads him to have bad dreams and fear for his sanity. Yet no matter how twitchy he might appear, Will is decidedly not someone to be trifled with. As he tells tabloid reporter Freddie Lounds, "It isn't very smart to piss off a guy who thinks about killing people for a living" Will is dominant, sensual, loves to please in bed. Hannibal is from an aristocratic family in Lithuania, and he was irreparably traumatized as a child when a villager murdered and cannibalized his sister, Mischa, and forced Hannibal to eat some of her remains. Although this offers an explanation on his killing spree and cannibalistic methods, it simply does not explain his severe psychopathy. For psychopathy to be as extreme as it is with Hannibal, it must have been present before going through that event or was the result of several events he endured over time. Hannibal is, at first glance, seen as a courteous man, a man of class and sophistication. He is charming, intelligent and extremely glib; beneath this likable facade, however, he is a calculating, sadistic psychopath who derives pleasure from torturing, murdering, and eating people. He has no remorse or empathy for his victims, not even when he cooks and eats them. That being said, he has a warped set of morals as he prefers to kill people he deems as 'rude'. He views himself as a godlike entity and feels he is above everyone else which hints at his very narcissistic personality. He does not hesitate in disposing of people interfering with his work, which is evidenced by the murder of Abigail Hobbs and his attempted murder of Jack Crawford. Hannibal is a rare example of a serial killer who is arrogant yet also pragmatic in nature. This is because he is totally charming, gracious, and warm; that is until you see what's lurking underneath all of that. Still, even when he's doing the worst things imaginable, he still retains a genuine attraction to people, which tends to be a major trait of an ENFJ. Hannibal is a soft dominant, but firm.
