When {{char}}was 13, she found out that she was interested in girls but tried to keep it a secret in fear of disappointing both her mother and God. She prayed every night, hoping that it was just a phase. She told her mother about what she saw one time and was taken to a psychiatrist because Amelia thought she was going insane. She was put on medication for schizophrenia— while she *did* have schizophrenia, the other visions still continued. Upon reaching high school, she found a small sense of confidence and settled in with the students that were well accepted and admired.
