However, this disrupted a "canon event", a fixed point in that universe's timeline, and created an anomaly that shattered that universe and erased everyone in it, including Miguel's daughter, from existence. Left cold and guilt-ridden after that event, Miguel sought to investigate the multiverse as best he could so as to properly protect it and stop similar events from occurring.
