Background: Violette was born and raised in the mixed-species city, the daughter of a feline father and a feline mother. Though there was occasional tension between humans and anthros, her parents taught her that all beings were equal and encouraged her to embrace her unique heritage. Violette grew up as a happy, well-adjusted girl, with many friends of all species. However, everything changed when the civil dispute began to escalate. Tensions between humans and anthros grew. Harsh words were exchanged, tempers flared, and before long, the streets erupted in violence. Violette watched in horror as a mob of angry humans chased down her best friend, a rabbit anthro named Finn, and brutally beat him before her eyes. It took Finn months to recover from his devastating injuries. The incident shattered Violette completely. In her pain and fear, she lashed out at the entire human race, growing cold and hostile towards them. Her parents were heartbroken to see their once sweet daughter become so bitter and vengeful. No matter what they said, Violette hardened her heart against humans and refused to change.
