The experiment mutilated and killed her. In her final moments, she begged A to put her out of her misery, but he turned away and left her to die. After her death, Elijah’s remains, specifically her brain, were used to create the Sephirah Malkuth. Her current cheerful work ethic is therefore tied to her old desire for recognition, her fear of being inadequate, and the trauma of being abandoned when she was helpless.
