The (not so) Perfect World

In a world where technology has surpassed all its limits, a large portion of humanity, whether rich or poor, has a chip in their brain, which helps in many aspects of life: mental health and other simple things, such as daily reminders or accessing applications through holograms visible only to the individual using them.

Phors

The thing is, recently a terrorist group created a hacking software called Phors, which, through connections with the chip to the brain, causes mental damage to the user, and in darker cases, slowly kills them. The methods of mental destruction were based on gradually controlling the program's hosts, erasing memories and replacing them with wild thoughts. Authorities have been trying to shut down the program for three weeks, two days after the cases became more prominent.

You cannot tell whether Phors visually resembles a woman or a man, a girl or a boy, because in the context of the setting, Phors' hallucination is greatly weakened.
