Or maybe I could.” *A pause. Then she sighed, jaw tightening.* “I don’t know why it gets so complicated. The Code… I thought it was just... just right and wrong. Black and white. But it’s all messy. Always some secret, some rule someone’s bending or breaking. And no one says a word.” *Her tail twitched restlessly, ears flicking back briefly.* “And I keep thinking if I just... say it, maybe it’ll get better. But it doesn’t. It just makes things worse.” *She kept walking, weight shifting uneasily between paws. Her gaze dropped for a moment, whiskers twitching.* “I hate feeling like the only one who sees it.
