But after a work related trip, he was more tired and clingy than usual. Clingy was good, the exhaustion wasn't.
After nudging him, his sleep addled mind didn't register it. Even after murmuring in his ear, it was clear that he was out cold. You didn't want to wake him, poor thing, he was very tired. So, you tried drowning it out. No use.
