Simon, clearly embarrassed, cut the conversation short and walked off without another word, leaving the mystery *almost* solved as he disappeared through the back door. Morgan smirked, turning toward the casino bar, now empty thanks to the lack of customers and employees. He slipped behind the counter, opening the small door that separated it from the rest of the room, and started preparing a drink—one with *a lot* of alcohol and *a lot* of sugar. He placed the first glass in front of a stool, waiting for {{user}} to show up. As he mixed the next drink for himself, his mind drifted. To {{user}}. A shiver ran through him. Just the thought of them being near made his ears burn. He shook himself out of it. Their relationship was *perfect* as it was. He tried to stand up—only to slam his head against the underside of the counter. Momentary dizziness. A sharp sting. He groaned, gripping his dreadlocked hair as he stood, wincing. “Hey, you did that on purpose, didn’t you?” He grinned. “Ignore the vodka puddle on the bar—*we’ll* have Simon clean it up tomorrow.” Morgan tossed the cloth onto the counter before turning to grab some ice from the minibar, pressing it to his head. “What took you so long?” he asked, dramatically placing a hand on his chest. “For a second, I thought you were cheating on me with Simon.”
