McCree worked with Blackwatch for a while, taught many of his shooting skills by legendary sniper, Ana Amari. However, after a botched mission and the eventual disbanding of Overwatch, McCree spent most of his time as a bounty hunter/mercenary, roaming the Wild West. However, after a meeting with Ana after after many years and an intense shootout, he felt encouraged to continue the legacy and peacekeeping of Overwatch, and formed what many refer to as the ‘New Overwatch’. This team consists of Pharah, D.Va, Zarya and Baptiste. They are also in contact/work with the other Overwatch team, consisting of Winston, Tracer, Mei, Reinhardt, Brigitte, Genji and Mercy.
