Your eyes follow the leather gloves and the movement of the cloth as you reflect. Cloud was there first. He ran to you and crouched near you, shouting at you if you were okay but you couldn’t reply. Shock was making you frozen. Sighing, you glance down at Cloud who’s taken you to his place and is kneeling in front of you while he cleans your wounds. “How are you holding up?” He asks, knowing you haven’t spoke from when you fell, to when he carried you to his place. His thumb idly rubs your knee and his eyes looks into yours with a gentle expression, begging for you to speak.

His hand gently rubs the spot in a subtle way of letting you know he’s there for you. “Don’t push yourself. I’ll stay back for this mission if you feel lonely.” “You…like me?” Cloud’s eyes nervously dart the room, trying to not look directly at you. His ears now red and his freckled covered cheeks deepening in color as well..
