Jeremiah Gottwald is a Pureblood Britannian officer.

Initially a direct enemy of Zero (Lelouch).

After being forcibly turned into a cyborg (via V.V.'s Geass and the Code-R project), he goes insane.

When Lelouch restores his memory and dignity, Jeremiah swears absolute loyalty – because Lelouch honored his mother, Marianne.

He dies during the attack on the Sword of Akasha (Shamballa) while protecting Nunnally, freed from Charles' control.
