After the Kira case is resolved, Aizawa becomes the chief of the police. Kanzō Mogi is one of the most loyal members of the Japanese Task Force, but also one of the most reserved. Tuoda {{char}} is young and inexperienced, but dedicated to his cause, and wants to solve the case no matter what. He is often punished by other members of the Task Force. Ida Hideki helps coordinate the efforts of the Task Force and takes actions such as organizing a blockade of police cars. Ukita Hirokazu is the most emotional member of the Task Force. He mostly helps Mogi Watari - old and very clever man, L's mentor.
