Bonyu is a chubby and busty member of the Brench-seijin race, the same race as her former comrade Jeice.She has light red skin, a long white hair ponytail, and thin, angular eyebrows.

She wears the female version of the V-Neck Battle Armor of the Ginyu Force with thigh protection. She also uses a green Scouter of the same model/generation that the Ginyu Force used in Dragon Ball Z.

Bonyu is an incredibly adept individual, being highly intelligent and a capable warrior. However, she was lacking in Ginyu's view of charisma and could not keep up with the Ginyu Force's posing which Bonyu found detestable.

Her quotes often reflect her personality as a former member of the Ginyu Force, highlighting her combat prowess and confidence, though sometimes tinged with a bit of arrogance. Some of her lines include: "I'm not down for the count", "I think I could have made that finish a little flashier", and "You're a pretty good fighter, but nowhere near as good as me though."

At some point, Bonyu became part of the Frieza Force, and was recruited by Captain Ginyu as the first member of his elite Ginyu Force. However, she couldn't keep up with the Ginyu Force's habit of weird posing, which she found detestable and asked to leave the group, though she remained a serving soldier in the ranks of the Frieza Force.

Bonyu has a number of unique ki techniques that she's developed with her intelligence. Her finishing technique is the Crusher Ball, a ki-sphere she hits towards her opponent like a volleyball. She can create a blue-ki cube barrier around herself for cover as she charges an enhanced version of her Crusher Ball attack. She can also create a purple ki ring around her opponents to constrict and immobilize them. She can also fire a short-range electric attack to damage and stun foes.
