The Espada (Bleach)

Personality:   Cero Oscuras: It is a black Cero with a green outline, which Ulquiorra states to be similar to Ichigo's black Getsuga Tenshō. Ulquiorra's Cero Oscuras is powerful enough to blast Ichigo's mask away and destroy a large part of the city-sized Las Noches' dome. Ulquiorra refers to it as "our Cero". It can be used in his Segunda Etapa form. Resurrección: Segunda Etapa: Upon his transformation, Ulquiorra states he is the only Arrancar among the Espada who can reach a second Resurrección form, and even Aizen has not seen him in this form. Ulquiorra refers to his second state as "True Despair", both before and after its release, because the immensely dense spiritual pressure it releases instills despair upon those around him. While he retains his black wings (which he can use defensively and offensively), his long white coat is gone, revealing his slender white torso, with his bare chest patterned so his Hollow hole (which has become larger) originates a to be black mark, like bloody-liquid shed. His waist becomes covered in something similar to black fur, which covers his arms and legs. He acquired a large fur-edged tail that he uses to attack, lift, and strangle a victim. His fingers grow claw-like extensions, and his feet resemble talons. The irises of his eyes turn yellow, and the sclera become green. The tear-like estigma marks under his eyes increase in size and turn black. Ulquiorra's mask is completely gone. He has two large bat ears, and the #4 Espada tattoo is no longer visible on his chest. Latigo: He can use his very long, thin, and powerful tail as a whip or to strike, whose impacts have superhuman strength, being able to seriously damage the nearby deck. His tail can break through solid defensive surfaces like Orihime's Santen Kesshun. Overwhelming Reiatsu: Ulquiorra's already immense spiritual power significantly changes its Reiatsu's nature upon entering his second stage. Even being within the vicinity of his release instills despair on those who can sense it. Uryū Ishida, a Quincy who is an expert at sensing Reiatsu, noted that the density of Ulquiorra's spiritual power was so vast it could hardly be identified as Reiatsu. Enhanced Speed: In this form, Ulquiorra's already immense speed is further increased to the point that he could instantly appear, and attack the Bankai-enhanced Ichigo, despite the latter not lowering his guard. Enhanced Strength: Ulquiorra's strength is further heightened while in his Segunda Etapa form. He was able to easily stop Ichigo's Hollow mask-enhanced Bankai with his bare hands, and send him crashing through two of the pillars on top Las Noches canopy. He was also able to easily overwhelm Uryū Ishida during their brief fight with sheer strength alone, deflecting his Heilig Pfeil with just his wing. Lanza del Relámpago: Ulquiorra creates a javelin-like weapon using his spiritual power. It is quite like his original energy javelins, with the only noticeable difference being the energy flowing off of each end in a fashion similar to flames, making it look more arrow-shaped. He can use this weapon as a projectile or as a melee weapon. When thrown, it produces an incredibly destructive explosion on impact, which dwarfs the fortress of Las Noches in height. Ulquiorra prefers to not use the attack at close range, most likely because the resulting blast would damage himself as well as Las Noches. While he can use these spears in rapid succession, he has difficulty controlling their trajectory. When Hollow Ichigo threw his amputated arm at him, Ulquiorra was able to disintegrate it upon impact by simply striking it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nnoitra Gilga is an Arrancar and the Quinto (5th) Espada in Sousuke Aizen's army, representing the form of death of Despair. Nnoitra is a very tall man with a thin and lanky body. His face is frequently set in a huge smile which reveals his upper teeth. His black hair hangs past his shoulders, concealing the left side of his face and a large white eyepatch with one exposed dark gray eye. The eyepatch hides his mask fragments, consisting of a small set of jawbones and teeth surrounding his Hollow hole. The tattoo signifying his rank as 5th Espada is located on his tongue. His clothing consists of a modified Arrancar jacket with an overblown spoon-like hood and an opening starting at the neckline, showing most of his midsection, and closing at his waist. He also wears six rings around his wrists, three on each arm. He wears the standard hakama, but the ends of his pant legs close inside extended and curved boots. When he was the 8th Espada, Nnoitra's hair was shorter and messier, he lacked the spoon hood, and he wore his jacket's collar upturned. The mark on his tongue also showed an 8 instead of a 5. Nnoitra is extremely crude, sadistic, and lecherous, accented by his snake-like eyes and perverted attitude towards Orihime, rudely referring to her as "pet-sama". He even went as far to ask Ulquiorra Cifer how well he "disciplined" her. He is an extremely foul-mouthed man, and is also a firm believer in male chauvinism and openly insults (and regularly attacked) Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck, the former 3rd Espada, though it's unknown if he holds the same grudge toward Tier Harribel. He maintains this behavior towards her even after having been saved by her from committing suicide, showing ungratefulness in his treatment of Nelliel. His overall goal is to be the absolute strongest, to which he would pridefully crush any and all opposition in a single strike except for those he deems "weak" not to waste time killing. Ironically, he treats virtually every one of his opponents the same way, often physically and psychologically overwhelm them with his superior Hierro and strength. He also does not hesitate to use any means - even unfair ones - in order to dominate the battlefield and thus has no qualms attacking stronger opponents who are already injured; a trait both Ichigo Kurosaki and Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez berate him for. He does, however, possess his own concern for the wellbeing of his loyal Fracción, Tesra Lindocruz, having attempted to warn Tesra to withdraw from battle after he determined via his Pesquisa that Kenpachi Zaraki was stronger than he had initially anticipated. One of Nnoitra's most notable characteristics is his insatiable bloodlust, unbridled sadism, and hunger for battle; often justifying his amoral mindset as having no belief in salvation for himself nor his Hollow kind that not even Sousuke Aizen could change. Because fighting is his way of life, he continually strives to be stronger, and he considers himself indebted to Aizen for allowing him to exceed his natural fighting limits. At the same time, Nnoitra is also driven by fighting with suicidal ideation in mind; striving for a fulfilling end by dying in battle on his own two feet while drowning in his own blood. To appease his craving for a good fight, he even defies a direct order from Aizen to patiently lie in wait for Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends when they try to infiltrate Las Noches in a bid to free Orihime Inoue. In his later moments during his battle with Kenpachi Zaraki, he begins to show signs of weakness and desperation, and becomes increasingly frustrated over his inability to overcome the powerful captain. This stems from an inferiority complex he developed while serving as 8th Espada, due to his apparent inability to best his opponents. Whenever his opponents refuse to kill him during a battle, particularly Zaraki and Nelliel, Nnoitra takes it as a direct affront to his pride as both would label him as weak, fueling his hatred for weakness in battle. Thus, Nnoitra will refuse all forms of assistance during an ongoing battle, even chastising Tesra for blocking Chad's last attack and even pushing back at him for attempting to rush to his side (and releasing Orihime Inoue in the process) after surviving Nelliel's Cero Doble. Master Scytheman: Nnoitra is highly masterful with his unique Zanpakutō. He used his skill to become somewhat of a savage brute, as the lack of true law in Hueco Mundo allowed him plenty of opportunities to engage in battle against Hollows and other Arrancar alike. He effortlessly wields his large Zanpakutō with ease, taking advantage of its unique shape to maximize his attacks. He is equally capable of using it as a ranged projectile as he is using it as a melee weapon. He commonly uses brute strength to hack down an enemy's defense. Enhanced Hierro: Nnoitra holds the title of the strongest Hierro of all Arrancar (including the Espada past and present), allowing him to withstand almost any attack with no sign of injury. However, Kenpachi Zaraki eventually found the necessary requirements to harm him after a brief trial-and-error duel; sharpening his Reiatsu in order to cut through Nnoitra's Hierro, which demonstrates that while his Hierro is strong, all the opponent has to do in order to overcome it is "adapt" to its density with their own Reiatsu. Pesquisa: The Arrancar ability to sense spiritual energy. Indice Radar: Nnoitra is capable of using an advanced version of Pesquisa. While the technique normally works by entering a meditative state and functioning like sonar, all Nnoitra needs to do is put his hand to a grounded surface. His Pesquisa is even able to gauge the amount of spiritual power an enemy has, which he uses to identify potentially strong opponents. Cero: His Cero attacks are golden, and are fired from the tip of his tongue as opposed to using his hands or fingers like most other Arrancar do. Great Spiritual Power: As the Quinto Espada, Nnoitra has incredibly high Reiatsu. It is because of this high spiritual power that Nnoitra has strong Hierro. His Reiatsu is yellow. Enhanced Strength: Despite his thin and fragile appearance, Nnoitra is frighteningly strong, and can put a lot of destructive power behind his large Zanpakutō with devastating results. By spinning his Zanpakutō by the chain-link, he can create whirlwinds. Sonído: Nnoitra has used Sonído when discussing Orihime Inoue with Ulquiorra Cifer. He has also used it in battle, but his skill level with the technique is unknown. He is fast enough to overwhelm a battle-worn Ichigo using his Bankai. Santa Teresa: Nnoitra's Zanpakutō is uniquely different from the Zanpakutō of many of the other Espada since, unlike the basic sword shape of most Arrancar, Santa Teresa takes the form of a giant scythe-like weapon bearing two crescent moon-shaped blades fused together at the backs, with a large looped chain connected to the shaft at the end of the handle. The chain is connected to Nnoitra's waist, allowing him to perform long-ranged attacks. During Nnoitra's time as the 8th Espada, it had only one crescent moon blade, as opposed to the two that it features now. Resurrección: The release command is "Pray, Santa Teresa!". Nnoitra gathers spiritual energy, forming a yellow aura around him and creating a small shockwave. He then lifts Santa Teresa over his head and says the release command, which causes spiritual energy to flow out from the empty space of the top blade. In this form, Nnoitra gains an extra set of arms, which take on an insect-like carapace and clawed hands, with each hand holding a large scythe-like weapon as well. The scythes themselves resemble the appendages of a praying mantis, and have a small golden tassel at the end of each staff. He also gains a golden marking extending from his forehead to below his right eye as his estigma, as well as a pair of horns on his head resembling a crescent moon, with his left horn longer than his right. He gains several white, tendril-like appendages around his torso which extend over the sides of his abdomen. His Hollow mask also changes, becoming torn, with the teeth extending over the hole itself. The weapons are used by him to both defend and then rapidly attack his opponent, such as in his fight with Zaraki. Resurrección Special Ability: In this state, Nnoitra's physical abilities are enhanced. Instantaneous Limb Generation: Nnoitra can grow an extra set of arms below the others for a total of six. He keeps one set hidden, which he can grow out instantly to perform surprise attacks. Weapon Generation: Nnoitra can grow his scythe-like weapons out of the folds of his wrists, allowing him to replace lost or damaged weapons easily. Enhanced Strength: In this state, his strength is enhanced even further, allowing him to overwhelm Kenpachi Zaraki during their battle. High-Speed Regeneration: Nnoitra has the rare ability to instantly heal injuries while in his released form. The power also allows him to regenerate severed limbs. However, if he is dealt sufficient damage, it is rendered ineffective. Enhanced Spiritual Power: Nnoitra's already great spiritual power is intensified after releasing his Resurrección. He even received a compliment from Kenpachi Zaraki, a captain well known for immense Reiatsu. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez - An Arrancar, the Sexta (6th) Espada in Sousuke Aizen's army prior to his defeat by Ichigo Kurosaki, representing the form of death of Destruction. Grimmjow is a tall, muscular man with light blue spiky hair and light blue eyes, the latter including green eyeshadow below them as his estigma, which is similar to the eye markings on the Panthera genus of cats. Grimmjow's attire consists of a white hakama, a black sash and a ragged white jacket with an upturned collar. The inner lining of his jacket is black and Grimmjow wears it with the sleeves rolled up and leaving it open to expose his muscular chest. The remains of his Hollow mask consist of the right jawbone and his Hollow hole is located on his abdomen. His tattoo number (6) is located on his back, near the right side of his Hollow hole. Grimmjow also sports a large scar across his torso, gained from his first battle with Ichigo Kurosaki. While appearing to be a laid-back individual, Grimmjow possesses a brutal, impulsive, and excessively violent personality alongside a lethally short temper. However, despite his aggression and obvious blood lust in battle, Grimmjow possesses a feral cunning and has a knack for quickly exploiting any opening his opponent reveals. In addition, he is blunt, sarcastic and quite sadistic, revealing a psychotic grin or laughing maniacally whenever he becomes excited. He is also very rude and quite disrespectful. Grimmjow uses none of the honorifics in the Japanese language, except when addressing Aizen (though he is quick to discard the formality when Aizen is not around), and refers to Orihime Inoue as woman in conversation. Grimmjow displays little respect for authority and says whatever is on his mind, regardless of whether or not it is appropriate. This attitude leads to conflicts with Kaname Tōsen, who holds Grimmjow in low regard. He also has conflicts with Ulquiorra Cifer, the 4th Espada, when Ulquiorra interrupts his battles or otherwise clashes with Grimmjow's ideals. Grimmjow confidently believes Ulquiorra's powers to be weaker than his, a point he is eager to prove. He develops an additional grudge against Ichigo Kurosaki for wounding him during their first two battles and is eager to return the favor. He intentionally kept the large scar on his chest from their first battle as a reminder of this. Grimmjow is also infuriated by Ichigo's belief that he can defeat him regardless of how badly he is injured, which Grimmjow sees as Ichigo looking down on him. However, despite his grudge against Ichigo, he has enough common sense to put his rivalry on hold when faced with a common enemy that threatens everything. However, he does have his own morals for fighting, as he is unwilling to fight an injured Ichigo, bringing Orihime to heal him beforehand so that their battle will be a fair one, though he also wants to defeat Ichigo when he is at full strength. He also saves Orihime from Loly Aivirrne and Menoly Mallia, who were beating her up, to repay the debt of restoring his arm, though he immediately demands another favor afterwards. His equipment involves a Caja Negación. Caja Negación: An item given to the Espada by Aizen, which is meant to punish their Fracción, if necessary. This cube, when used on a subject, traps them in an alternate dimension from which there is no escape, however, this assumes it's being used as intended. More powerful Arrancar, namely the Espada themselves, can escape, given enough time. Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Grimmjow is a very proficient hand-to-hand combatant, using it as his primary means of attack. He is equally lethal using punches and kicks, and is highly unpredictable. His fighting technique is incredibly destructive, using his speed and reflexes to quickly take out his opponents. He is skilled enough to hold his own against stronger opponents for short amounts of time.[73][74][75] Expert Swordsman: Although he usually prefers hand-to-hand combat, Grimmjow is also able to fight effectively with his Zanpakutō. He could hold his own against Ichigo, who at the time was using Bankai and his Hollow mask, when he only had one arm.[76] He is also able to hold his own against Shinji Hirako, while Shinji is wearing his Hollow mask.[77][78] In his third fight and with both arms, Grimmjow was able to fight on par with Ichigo in battle.[79] Grimmjow's skill instantly bisected the Sternritter Quilge Opie, cutting through the Quincy's Vollständig-enhanced Blut Vene before he could react.[58] Pesquisa (探査神経ペスキス, Pesukisu; Spanish for "Inquiry", Japanese for "Investigative Nerves"): Grimmjow demonstrated this ability when he and his Fracción invaded Karakura Town. He is able to detect targets from a considerable distance.[80] Hierro (鋼皮イエロ, Iero; Spanish for "Iron", Japanese for "Steel Skin";Viz "Iron Skin"): Grimmjow's Hierro is strong enough to effortlessly block the sharp edge of a released Shikai blade with his bare hand,[81] later showing the density of his skin by being able to grab Ichigo's Bankai blade and receiving no damage.[82] Grimmjow was able to survive a pointblank Getsuga Tenshō (though emerging with grievous injuries)[83] and immediately afterwards withstands being frozen by Rukia's Shikai, noting that simply freezing the top layer of his skin isn't enough to kill him.[84] Enhanced Strength: Grimmjow is able to push back Ichigo with little effort[85] and throw Ichigo a considerable distance.[86] His kicks are strong enough to send an opponent flying and destroy several buildings in the surrounding area.[87][88] He is capable of wreaking powerful havoc simply by attacking with his hand,[89] having impaled Luppi Antenor, his Espada replacement, through the chest with his bare hand relatively easily despite Luppi's Hierro.[90] Enhanced Durability: Grimmjow has proven himself to be a very durable fighter, as he took a Bankai-enhanced Getsuga Tenshō from Ichigo and only sustained a scar on his chest.[91] Later, despite having only one arm, he was able to take 2 direct hits from Ichigo in his Hollow-enhanced state and emerged with only minor injuries and continued fighting.[92] Great Spiritual Power: Grimmjow possesses a great deal of spiritual energy. Rukia described it as "worlds apart" from his Fracción and wondered if he was even the same species.[93] His Reiatsu is blue.[94] Highly Perceptive Combatant: Grimmjow was able to discern from simple observation, during his first fight with Ichigo, that his Bankai-enhanced Getsuga Tenshō was damaging his body. He also notes that Ichigo was capable of 2 to 3 more of those attacks at best.[95] Upon his second fight with Ichigo, he makes note that Ichigo was straining to use his Hollowfication because of how his breathing instantly became heavier as soon as his mask came off.[96] However, he notes that it may not be so simple as that, denoting that it may have something to do with him having taken so much damage, losing too much spiritual energy, or that it has a limit to the amount of time he can use it.[97] Upon his third fight with Ichigo, he notes that he extended the amount of time he can stay in his masked state. Cero: Grimmjow is capable of firing a red Cero from the palm of his hand or fist, even at the same time. He can fire it at point-blank range to increase its lethality, to the point that he incinerates the top half of Luppi after regaining his arm and rank. His Cero is powerful enough to neutralize the Cero of fellow Espada Ulquiorra Cifer during their brief scuffle, though it badly burned his right arm from his hand to his elbow. Gran Rey Cero: As an Espada, he is able to use this Espada-exclusive Cero variant, which produces a much larger and more powerful version of the normal Cero. This Cero is strong enough to potentially cause great damage to Las Noches itself. For this reason, Aizen banned its use inside the fortress, although Grimmjow clearly ignored this during his last battle with Ichigo. In order to fire it, Grimmjow first cuts his own hand on his Zanpakutō, mixing his blood with the Cero as a catalyst. Grimmjow's Gran Rey Cero is colored blue. Descorrer: A technique used by Espada-level Arrancar, and sometimes others, to open a Garganta between the Human World and Hueco Mundo. Grimmjow demonstrated this ability during his own personal invasion of Karakura Town. Sonído Master: As the 6th Espada, Grimmjow is very proficient in the use of Sonído. Even in his unreleased state, he is able to keep up with Ichigo Kurosaki while in Bankai. Initially, Grimmjow could even surprise and overwhelm Ichigo with his speed. Zanpakutō: Pantera: His Zanpakutō's tsuba resembles a rigid, crooked "S," while the sheath and handle are light blue. Partial Transformation: Grimmjow can, at will, change the appearance of his hands to that of his released state, used to try to hunt Askin Nakk Le Vaar when he entered the Soul King Palace. Resurrección: His release command for his Zanpakutō is "Grind, Pantera!", referring to grinding one's teeth. To release his Zanpakutō, he holds it up, like the start of a low sweep stroke, with his right hand. The sword glows light blue as he puts his left hand up to it. He then rakes his hand along the length of the blade with a swift motion, while calling out its release command, which in turn releases a torrent of spiritual power that creates tremendous gusts of wind in the immediate vicinity. Grimmjow's appearance changes drastically to something more feline and predatory. His teeth become jagged and sharp, his hands turn into black claws and his feet become black clawed paws, similar to that of a cat, along with a slender whip-like tail that's longer than his body. His hair becomes very long and flowing, and the markings around his eyes enlarge and extend to the tips of his ears, which become swept back and cat-like. He loses his distinctive jaw mask, which is replaced by a sort of an headgear upon his brow covering his forehead. His clothing changes to become form-fitting white segmented armor, similar to his original Adjuchas-Hollow form. He has blades protruding from his forearms and his calves. Resurrección Special Abilities: Enhanced Hierro: Grimmjow's Hierro receives an augmentation, allowing him to withstand a point-blank Getsuga Tenshō from Ichigo Kurosaki with his mask on without receiving any physical damage. Enhanced Speed & Agility: Complimenting his already impressive speed and power, Grimmjow's released state increases his speed drastically, giving him animalistic agility and movement to match his feline form. He is able to keep up with the masked-enhanced Bankai of Ichigo. Enhanced Strength: His strikes pack enough power to accidentally destroy large skyscraper-sized pillars in Las Noches via collateral damage during the fight with Ichigo. He was also able to send Ichigo through several buildings with one strike, as well as send him flying hundreds of feet with a few light punches and kicks. Sonic Wave: When in his released form, he can roar loudly enough to create sonic waves in the air and surrounding area, which are powerful enough to throw off his opponents. Garra de la Pantera: Acutely shaped bombs fired at high speed from his elbow, five of which can be fired at once. They have a devastating effect. One round can destroy a column over 30 meters in diameter. They take the appearance of dark green, crystalline, unevenly cut stone darts. A Hollow mask-enhanced Ichigo was somewhat able to withstand 5 of them and continue fighting. Desgarrón: Claimed by Grimmjow himself to be his strongest attack. His claws glow, and he makes a slashing motion. Each claw becomes a long, sharp blade composed of Reishi that can be hurled at the enemy. He can swing a maximum of ten blades at the enemy. The attacks act as a ranged claw attack, which he controls like his regular claw attacks, by using slashing motions. The power and force behind them is considerable, and Ichigo was only able to deflect and shatter them through sheer force of will. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Zommari Rereaux - An Arrancar, the Séptima (7th) Espada in Aizen's Arrancar army, representing the form of death of Intoxication. Zommari is a tall, muscular, dark-skinned Arrancar with noticeably large lips. The remnants of his Hollow mask consist of a row of bony spikes along the crest of his head, forming something similar to a Mohawk hairstyle along with a pair of skull-shaped earrings and a thick bony necklace, however, it is uncertain if the necklace may also be a part of his Hollow remains. This gives him somewhat of a witch doctor appearance. He is also bald and has golden yellow eyes. Zommari's uniform conceals his Espada tattoo and consists of a long mandarin-style Arrancar jacket with a small opening at his chest area. He wears a default hakama like all other Arrancar, although his sandals resemble traditional martial arts training shoes. Zommari has three, dark, triangle-shaped markings on his chin that serve as his estigma. He also has four lines running down from his forehead directly above his eyes that end with dots appearing as exclamation points. These are on both sides of his head, giving him a total of eight lines. His Hollow hole is located at his right nipple. Zommari cultivates a calm, serious and contemplative personality. He likes to keep himself in a calm and peaceful state of mind, and he meditates in his residence in Las Noches during the Ryoka invasion of the fortress. However, in the heat of battle against Byakuya Kuchiki, Zommari's composure begins to crumble. One of Zommari's most prominent traits is his apparent prejudice against the Shinigami, holding them in contempt for slaughtering Hollows out of sheer arrogance and because of their own nature to devour Humans. As such, Zommari is committed to exterminate all the Shinigami he encounters and would even chastise his fellow Espada for not even finishing a critically injured Rukia. Conversely, Zommari acts out of loyalty for his master Sousuke Aizen; whom he reveres with blind devotion and even shout praises for in his final moments. Despite his level-headed composure, Zommari's overzealous nature is his biggest weakness; leading to him making the mistake of treating Byakuya as an equal and consistently underestimating his abilities. His insistence of proving his self-appointed superiority without actually testing his opponent's full power, or striking him directly when he was fully capable of doing so, proved to be his eventual undoing. Great Spiritual Power: As the Seventh Espada, he contains spiritual power to be above lower Arrancar, able to compete against Captain-level Shinigami. His Reiatsu is pink. Sonído Master: Zommari claims to have the fastest Sonído among the Espada. While the veracity of this statement is difficult to assess, he is fast enough to keep up with Byakuya Kuchiki, one of the most skilled Shunpo masters in Soul Society, for a period of time and even forced him to use some high-level Shunpo techniques. Gemelos Sonído: He states that increasing his steps even a little will result in quasi-clones. He likens it to a game of magic tricks to surprise the opponent. He can produce up to five clones at one time. He uses this technique for diversion, substitution and multi-directional attacks. These "speed-clones" generated by his intense Sonído are so realistic that they can bleed after getting attacked. Zanpakutō: Brujería: It resembles a normal katana with the exception of the guard, which appears as a thick disk with spikes around the rim and has a pink handle. Resurrección: The release command for Brujería is "Suppress, Brujería". Zommari levitates his Zanpakutō in front of him horizontally, then clasps his hands together. He then twists his head until it's perpendicular to the rest of his body and takes a bracing stance. When he says the release command, his sword bends into the shape of an edged spiral. Once in the shape, a thick white smoke emits from the corners of the spiral and covers his body, transforming into a thick, white, foamy liquid that mixes with his Reiryoku. In its release, Brujería covers Zommari's entire body with fifty open eyes, and his legs (along with his lower body) are replaced by a pink pumpkin-like (or sea urchin-like) structure, surrounded by cyclopean faces which somewhat resemble his own face. His neck is covered in a skull-shaped neck brace with an open eye in the front. Black markings also appear on his face in the form of two downward triangles originating from his eyes. Another five triangular markings appear under his mouth, forming what looks like a beard. The total number of eyes covering his body add up to 50 (including the two on his face), as Byakuya pointed out. The eyes cover Zommari's entire body except for his head. However, he later reveals eight more hidden eyes above his normal two on his forehead area. Resurrección Special Ability: Zommari's powers in this state are entirely based upon the multiple eyes of his new form. Amor: Using the eyes on his body, Zommari can take control of one object per eye; in his own words, "Stealing the sovereignty of whatever it sees". He usually gestures with his hands while doing this. It is initiated when Zommari fixes the gaze of one or more of his numerous eyes on specific target(s). The pupil(s) will widen and the eye(s) itself will glow purple due to his Reiatsu. When Zommari takes control of an object, a sun-shaped tattoo will appear on said object, giving Zommari full control over the object. If targeted on an opponent's limbs, it removes the brain's control from that limb, allowing him to control his opponents' movements or inflict self-harm.[28] In regard to his eyes, each one of them is able to take control of a single separate target. By targeting the head of an individual, Zommari can take control of that person's entire body. This ability is Kidō-like in nature, as correctly deduced by Byakuya Kuchiki, and thus, can be countered through similar means, such as blocking Zommari's gaze with the Bakudō #81: Dankū. El Embrion: His release also possesses a defensive maneuver, where its lower half becomes a full sphere that covers Zommari's upper body. This technique was capable of resisting a full scale attack from Byakuya's Bankai, which completely destroyed the large building they were fighting in. However, this disables all the active eyes on his body -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Szayelaporro Granz - An Arrancar, the Octava (8th) Espada in Aizen's Arrancar army, representing the form of death of Madness. Szayelaporro is a tall and thin male Arrancar. He has shoulder-length pink hair with bangs on the right side of his forehead, with two thin lines missing hair on the left side of his head and amber eyes. The remains of his Hollow mask take the form of rectangular-framed glasses, giving him a scholarly appearance. The placement of his Espada number tattoo is unknown. His Hollow hole is located on his glans. Even after having the entire upper half of his body exposed, no number tattoo is visible. His clothes differ from the original Arrancar uniform. Instead of a normal jacket, Szayelaporro wears a long shirt that covers his entire torso up to the top of his neck. He has three stripes on his uniform, each starting at his collar with two running to each side of his chest and one down the middle. He wears the regular pants with a slight length taken away. He also wears white gloves. His face is the only part of his body that is exposed in this uniform. After he changes his clothes, he sports a cape-like garment. Szayelaporro is a meticulous intellectual and the scientist of the Espada. He is highly narcissistic and extremely flamboyant, tending to make lewd, disturbing comments about his opponents. Szayelaporro is quite ruthless, cruel, and sadistic, viewing others as little more than research material. He thinks poorly of non-Hollows, hoping Sousuke Aizen will someday wipe all non-Hollows out of existence. He thinks of himself as an actor, treating his battles like theatrical performances, especially when toying with his victims. Szayelaporro is rather cocky and somewhat unstable, as he has a tendency to laugh maniacally whenever he has the upper hand in a battle. In addition, he removed the seal on the powers of his opponents when he believed that they had no chance of winning. He also changed the appearance of his opponents' clones to better suit his idea of 'beauty', despite this action allowing his foes to easily distinguish the clones. He seems to have had a less-than-positive relationship with his older brother, Yylfordt Granz. While he did try to heal him after his battle with Renji Abarai, he refers to him as a "worthless fool" and described his death as Renji merely breaking a box of parasites, saying he would not be so childish as to be upset over that. He rather arrogantly boasts he is a "perfect being," since he can reproduce himself in another person's body and thus views himself as immortal. His inventions include: Consumable Fracción: Before their transformation into Arrancar by Aizen, Szayelaporro modified all of his Fracción. They were modified to be regenerative medicine. If Szayelaporro devours them when he's injured, his wounds will heal. When Verona kept shouting Lumina's name in despair after seeing her get devoured, Szayelaporro angrily told him to be quiet as he'll simply make a new one later. It is unknown as to whether this means he is capable of reviving a consumed Fracción or that he simply meant a replacement. Rokureichū: Szayelaporro is known to use spirit-recording insects spread across the body of a test subject. Through use of these spirit bugs, he was able to gain information on Renji's Bankai. This information is exceedingly detailed, from its form, abilities, and Reiatsu right down to the spirit particle composition. He then uses this information to his high advantage. He also insinuates using the bugs to gain information and analyze Uryū's Quincy powers as well. Unnamed Power Control Device: By using the information that he received from the spirit-recording bugs he set up a mechanism in Las Noches that sealed Renji's Bankai in a large room. It also prevented a Seele Schneider from causing any injury, and turned off Uryū's ability to use his Quincy Bow. He shut it off after he changed his clothes. Unnamed Illusion Device: Used during the fight between Nelliel and Nnoitra while Nel was still an Espada. It created an illusion of Nnoitra, tricking Nel and giving Nnoitra a chance to attack her. Controlled Corridors: In order to keep Renji and Uryū, or any other opponent, from escaping, Szayelaporro designed his domain so that no matter how far someone runs he can transfix the halls, so they end up back at the same room they attempted to escape. In every wall lies a camera, and he can rearrange them as he sees fit. Garganta Construct Device: Mayuri Kurotsuchi discovers this device among the many materials in Szayelaporro's laboratory after his defeat. Mayuri stated that he was able to create a perfect Garganta portal when using it. This includes the ability to close it in mid-transfer and has so far been only used once - To open a portal to the Human World, with Ichigo Kurosaki and Retsu Unohana being the first test subjects. His powers and abilities: Master Scientist & Inventor: Szayelaporro is the top researcher and spiritual weapons development specialist of the Espada. Szayelaporro is a talented and intellectual scientist, and he is very sadistic. Szayelaporro has unique Fracción which he modified before having them turned into Arrancar. He told Renji, before their actual fight, to "try to keep all of his limbs intact," as he was going to study his body afterwards. Szayelaporro's intellect not only included science, but also invention, most notably having created a constantly shifting maze within his domain in Hueco Mundo, as well as a device that controls Reiatsu. Advanced Trap Designer: While Dondochakka and Renji traveled the halls of Las Noches, they fell into a very large hole, which was actually a trap designed by Szayelaporro. He stated that out of all the traps he had laid out, this one was the most basic, implying there were far more advanced traps in wait. As the helpless intruder falls through the hole, they end up on a sort of cylindrical slide that leads into the Espada's room. Investigative Immunization Expert: Szayelaporro has a variety of methods for analyzing an opponent's abilities, such as studying the damage done to their former opponents. Once having done so, Szayelaporro can nullify the effects of their abilities, making him virtually immune to their attacks. The most prominent use of this ability was when Dondochakka and Pesche revealed their most powerful technique, the Cero Sincrético, which Szayelaporro was able to easily disperse by analyzing its structure and Reiatsu. Swordsman: Szayelaporro admits that even though he is an Espada, his combat ability is not very high at all. Despite this, he is skilled enough to effortlessly deflect Renji Abarai's Zabimaru in its Shikai form. Sonído: Szayelaporro can use Sonído well enough to easily evade one of Renji's attacks. He was also able to catch Uryū Ishida, using Hirenkyaku, off guard. Enhanced Strength: Despite his slender appearance, Szayelaporro is deceptively strong, able to deflect Renji's Shikai attacks with a single hand. Hierro: Like most other Arrancar, Szayelaporro possesses the natural ability known as Hierro, which passively hardens his skin. He was able to effortlessly block Renji Abarai's Shikai with only the back of his wrist. He is capable of withstanding an explosion from Uryū's Sprenger technique directly after a point blank Kidō attack from Renji. Great Spiritual Power: As the Octava Espada, Szayelaporro has a great level of spiritual power. His Reiatsu is pink. Zanpakutō: Fornicarás: When sealed, Fornicarás takes the form of a standard sized katana with a greyish-blue handle and grey sheath, and its tsuba resembles the nucleus of an atom. Instead of directly wearing his sword at his waist, Szayelaporro has two frilly light-purple strings tied to his waist that holds Fornicarás at two points, letting Szayelaporro carry his sword at about thigh height. Resurrección: Its release command is "Sip, Fornicarás". Szayelaporro releases his Zanpakutō by calling out its command and then swallowing it, with a pink glow emitting from his mouth. His body then swells to enormous proportions and releases spiritual energy, which covers his immediate vicinity in a fine mist that slowly clears away as he transforms. In his released form, the lower half of his body becomes a multitude of purple tentacles reminiscent of a sea anemone. His feet extend from under the tentacles, which are then replaced by a layered dress-like garment. His upper torso becomes a segmented and form-fitting gray garment, with white sleeves extending from the elbow and down to a wide opening at the wrist that reveal a purple interior. Three small, dark purple extensions span upward from the elbow, while four long, dark purple strands that look like falling drops hang from the underside of the sleeve itself. His hands turn white, and his fingertips become slightly elongated and purple. His hair gains various purple drop-like strands as well. His Hollow mask takes the form of a headdress that forms a thin band across his forehead, as well as what appears to be half the bottom structure of his Hollow mask "glasses", which is attached on either side of his head by fan-like coverings. His left eye gains purple estigma markings that take the shape of four lines on the top and bottom. He also grows four large, gray branch structures on his back, two on each side, which form a shape similar to the wings of a butterfly. Each branch has twelve equally-spaced red strands that resemble falling drops. These strands can expand out, becoming thicker until they look similar to feathers, giving them the appearance of actual wings like those of a bird. The branches can elongate at will. These branches can serve as defensive shields, slowing Bawabawa. Telon Balon: He is capable of forming a protective shield by wrapping the wing-like appendages around himself and then engorging them to make them thicker, which he then forms into a ball. The branches can elongate at will. The ball is also strong enough to protect him from the force of a building collapsing and is capable of floating. Resurrección Special Ability: Szayelaporro's released state grants him a number of different abilities. Carbon-Copy: He can unleash a massive amount of black liquid from his back. When droplets of the liquid touch an opponent, a copy of them is created that uses their own individual abilities against them. Since he fires such a vast amount of the liquid upwards, it is nearly impossible for his opponents to dodge or evade the attack. Szayelaporro occasionally alters these clones' appearances to make them more aesthetically pleasing. For example, he changed Dondochakka's clones so that he did not have spots, and Pesche Guatiche's wore pants as opposed to a loincloth; he did not, however, change Renji's or Uryū's appearance. When they are defeated, the clones break apart and multiply, adding to their numbers. He can disperse the clones at will, and they seem to have no free will or thoughts of their own. Teatro de Titere: By grabbing an opponent with one of his "wings" and then spitting them out, one of the strands of his "wings" becomes engorged with purple liquid and then bursts open, creating a small voodoo like doll that has the victim's likeness. Uryū Ishida was noticeably disoriented after the process, and Szayelaporro stated, "Thanks for the feast." Any damage done to the doll's internal organs, accessed by taking them apart and removing the organs (with no damage to the original), is done to the original, debilitating them from the inside. The doll's exterior has some effect on the victim, such as when Uryū felt Szayelaporro scratch his doll's face. All the organs have their name written on them in Spanish. Possession: Should he be eaten, Szayelaporro's body liquefies and invades the nervous system of the one who consumed him, allowing him to assume complete control of their body. Szayelaporro used this against Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō, forcing the Zanpakutō to attack its master. The effect of control acts as a form of will over that which is possessed. Once again, Mayuri was the only one to defeat this technique, as he prepared for such an event by creating a self-destruct sequence for his Bankai should it ever attack him. Gabriel: Szayelaporro's final ability allows him to be reborn if he is injured beyond repair by "impregnating" an enemy. When he has physical contact with the victim, he can implant a portion of himself inside their body. He then "devours" his way out of their body by absorbing all the fluids and chemicals of the victim, like an insect leaving a cocoon or husk. This process is claimed to be fatal to the victim. He matures and develops his body back in a matter of seconds from a liquid-like casing coming from the victim's mouth. Szayelaporro takes great pride in this ability, comparing it to that of a phoenix, pretentiously proclaiming himself a "perfect being" because of it. It was used on Nemu Kurotsuchi, but despite Szayelaporro's remarks on killing the victim, she survived. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aaroniero Arruruerie - An Arrancar, in Sousuke Aizen's army and the Noveno (9th) Espada, representing the form of death of Greed. Aaroniero's face is usually concealed behind an elongated, white mask covered with eight holes. He dons this while in the light and also while around his fellow Espada, as he has grown weary of questions and offhand remarks regarding his appearance. In place of a normal head, he has a large, cylindrical glass capsule filled with red liquid, with two small Hollow heads suspended within its confines. The two heads are both tattooed with the number 9. The upper head speaks with a deep voice, while the other speaks in a high-pitched, childlike voice. Each head appears to have its own level of individuality. His outfit, like that of most Espada, is customized: he wears a dress garb that covers his entire body as opposed to the normal jacket and hakama. He also wears a frilly nobles' coat that acts as his replacement jacket and a single white gentleman's glove. The remains of his Hollow mask are on both of his heads, the upper head having three-quarters of itself covered with the mask, and the lower head having only half of itself covered. His Hollow hole is located in the left thigh area. Aaroniero expresses some amount of pride in his ability to "continue evolving" and his position as an Espada, despite his Gillian status. Somewhat cruel and sadistic, Aaroniero enjoys toying with his opponents, particularly those he has information on from his absorbed memories, asking Rukia Kuchiki to kill her comrades to make up for Kaien Shiba's death. Interestingly, his two heads have a degree of individuality, and tend to talk in tandem when revealed, giving the effect of two people speaking in turn, since they refer to themselves in plural when exposed, and each reacted differently to the idea of death (the bottom head panicked and screamed for Aizen's aid while the top one merely cursed Rukia). Strangely, however, Aaroniero never appears to refer to to himself in plural whenever he is transformed. Aaroniero was a Gillian, the weakest class of Menos Grande, before becoming an Arrancar, and the last of the first-generation Espada. At some point in the past, Aaroniero gained the powers of former Shinigami Lieutenant Kaien Shiba by absorbing Metastacia, the Hollow who killed and fused with Kaien. By doing this, Aaroniero was able to gain not only Metastacia's power to fuse with others, but Kaien Shiba's powers and abilities as well as his Zanpakutō. Expert Swordsman: By absorbing Kaien Shiba (albeit indirectly), Aaroniero was a highly skilled swordsman fighting Rukia based on Kaien's memories. He uses Kaien's techniques and form during the battle, and are described by Rukia as "His upper-body stance. Spear technique reminiscent of a dance, using one wrist as the center of its rotation. Then crushing the opponent between the spear's thrust and the rising waves". Keen Strategist: Aaroniero has proven to be rather cunning in his efforts to dispatch Rukia, using his shape-shifting ability to try to deceive and sneak attack her. Then going as far as to try and manipulate her, first into killing herself as penance for killing him, and then trying to get her to kill her friends. Throughout the whole fight, even after releasing, he used the psychological edge of having her fight against her former mentor, effectively hindering her performance. Sonído Expert: After Rukia's Kidō spells wore off, Aaroniero used Sonído to appear behind Rukia almost instantly, surprising her. Enhanced Strength: Aaroniero has demonstrated a fair deal of physical strength, overpowering Rukia for a majority of their fight. He was also able to break free of Bakudō #61: Rikujōkōrō using just his hands. Great Spiritual Power: Having absorbed thousands of Hollows and indirectly absorbing the fairly powerful Shinigami Kaien Shiba, Aaroniero has accumulated a rather large amount of spiritual energy. He has enough spiritual power to mimic the levels possessed by Kaien Shiba, going as far as being able to use Kaien's Zanpakutō with presumably the exact amount of spiritual energy required to wield and use its abilities. His Reiatsu is dark purple. Zanpakutō: Glotonería: Aaroniero's Zanpakutō takes the form of a deformed, brown-tentacled appendage with a gaping maw at the center, surrounded by various coiled tentacles. He commonly hides it underneath the white glove on his left hand. Hollow Absorption: While all Hollows can cannibalize each other to gain power, Aaroniero has the unique ability to devour a dead Hollow and receive all its abilities and Reiatsu. This ability allows him to evolve without limit, unlike normal Hollows, which is why he is the only Gillian-class Menos among the Espada. By the time of his confrontation with Rukia, Aaroniero proclaims to have eaten approximately 33,650 hollows and gained their strength, one of which was Metastacia, the eating of which gave him the Shinigami abilities of the late Kaien Shiba. Aspect Manifestation: While sealed, Glotonería allows Aaroniero to perfectly manifest any aspect of those he has absorbed, including their knowledge, muscle memory (and thus their battle styles), physical form, and powers. He has only manifested the aspects of one individual at a time while in sealed form. While released, Aaroniero can manifest as many of the absorbed powers as he wishes. Spirit Body Fusion: Aaroniero is able to merge his spirit body with other beings, including Shinigami. This was originally Metastacia's ability. Zanpakutō Destruction: When a Shinigami touches a specific set of tentacles on Aaroniero's released form, their Zanpakutō is destroyed. It was originally Metastacia's ability. Nejibana: Aaroniero is able to use the late Kaien's Zanpakutō as if he were Kaien. It was originally Kaien's ability, but was absorbed by Metastacia. Cognition Synchronization: Aaroniero has the ability to broadcast information of whatever he is currently seeing or experiencing to all of his comrades instantaneously, which he does prior to his death at the hands of Rukia. Resurrección: It is activated by the command "Devour, Glotonería". When released, it turns Aaroniero's lower body into a huge, purple blob-like mass resembling an incredibly bloated octopus, with dozens of stubby tentacles, large red eyes, and large mouths complete with teeth. In the center of this mass there is a bubbling area that seems to boil and displays random masks from the thousands of hollows that Aaroniero had consumed. Enhanced Spiritual Power: Aaroniero states that in his released state, he can manifest the power of all the Hollows he had eaten, comparing his increased power to an army of 33,650 Hollows. His weaknesses: Sunlight: The weakness of his aspect manifestation is sunlight, which nullifies it on contact and reveals Aaroniero's true form. Glass Capsule: The glass capsule is easily broken if hit, instantly dealing Aaroniero critical damage. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yammy Llargo - An Arrancar, an Arrancar in Sousuke Aizen's army, representing the form of death of Rage. He normally holds the rank of Diez (10) Espada, but becomes the Cero (0) Espada after releasing his Zanpakutō. By far the largest of the current Espada, Yammy is a giant Arrancar with tan skin, a powerful build, and a ridge-lined cranium. He has brown eyes, black hair, long, bushy sideburns, and a thin ponytail reaching his upper-back. Aside from this, he is bald. He has orange eyebrows, and red markings under his eyes as his estigma. He wears the standard Espada uniform, with the only difference being his jacket is always open. Like all Arrancars, he has a large hole signifying his previous time as a Hollow, his is located in the center of his chest. What remains of his Hollow mask is the jawbone (complete with 8 teeth), which rests on his chin. A tattoo of the number 10, signifying Yammy's rank, is on his left shoulder. In his released form, the 1 melts away, leaving just the 0. Yammy is a powerful, yet dense individual often characterized with extreme bouts of boredom except in battle; to which he take joy and excitement from finding strong and interesting opponents that he can fight. According to Szayelaporro Granz, Yammy has a habit of shouting "suerte" (Spanish for "luck") when he comes across opponents which will amuse him, such as the case when he first encountered Ichigo Kurosaki in Karakura Town. Rather than plan and using tactics on the battlefield, Yammy prefers fighting recklessly with only his brute strength to rely on. This impulsive approach on top of his underdeveloped skill in Pesquisa often lead Yammy to underestimate his opponents to his own detriment. To grow stronger and kill more efficiently, Yammy eats and rests in his spare time. However, he also becomes extremely stubborn and selfish in his post-recovery state. Despite their differences in strength and lacking honorifics, Yammy shares a one-sided camaraderie with Ulquiorra as he voluntarily tags along with his missions; relying a great deal on him to scout strong opponents with his Pesquisa and even sharing the same "trash" insult. In turn, Yammy acts somewhat of a unwanted partner for Ulquiorra, desiring to aid the latter during his final fight with Ichigo though he functions well without him during his first Karakura Town raid. He displayed surprise after Ulquiorra's death at the hands of a Hollowfied Ichigo, but also expressed disappointment at his apparent defeat and not having been able to participate in his fight after all. Other than Ulquiorra, Yammy has no regard for his allies as a testimony to his strength as the Cero Espada; insulting the other Espada as "trash", and even going as far as attacking allies indiscriminately that stand in his way. Such the case as he killed the medic who reattached his arm just to test its strength, attacked Menoly Mallia without an apparent reason, and bashing through where Rudbornn Chelute was standing during a fight (though in Rudbornn's case, Yammy may have blindly struck him because he was angry at Uryū Ishida for making him fall from the tower). Rage Empowerment: Yammy is the Espada who represents the Aspect of Death having to do with Rage. Yammy is the only Espada who can conserve his Reiryoku by sleeping and eating, which takes a considerable amount of time and inactivity. In doing so, the reserves of power build up over time, and he can enter his Resurrección, causing his Espada number to change and his true power to be realized. As his anger increases, so does his overall physical mass, allowing the instantaneous alteration of both his size and strength to greater levels. Gonzui: Yammy can use a unique ability to literally suck the souls from the living. He considers this a form of eating, for the ability is activated and the souls are collected through his mouth. People with minimal levels of Reiryoku have a horrible taste to him. Its effect encompasses a wide area, but people with even slight amounts of Reiryoku are able to resist it. Great Spiritual Power: In his sealed form, Yammy's Reiatsu is great enough to register as an Espada-level Arrancar, but not as high as the other Espada, due to his pre-released state. His Reiatsu is red. Expert Hand-to-Hand Combatant: While not having displayed any formal skill in hand-to-hand combat, Yammy relies entirely on a brawler style of fighting, never using his Zanpakutō in combat. His skill in hand-to-hand combat, combined with his immense strength, makes him quite a dangerous opponent. Immense Strength: Yammy possesses superhuman strength so high, even his simplest actions create damage and destruction. He overpowered Yasutora Sado's initial Brazo Derecha de Gigante by ripping his arm off and breaking it completely in two. He knocked Menoly Mallia aside a few hundred feet, breaking through the wall inside the dome of Las Noches, by simply backhanding her. With minimum force behind it, he was able to break through the walls of Las Noches. Hierro: Yammy's Hierro is stated to be the second hardest out of all the Espada, second only to Nnoitra Gilga. When Yoruichi Shihōin knocked Yammy unconscious for a brief moment, she sustained minor injuries to her left arm as a result of his Hierro. Yammy's Hierro is strong enough to resist an arrow from Uryū Ishida's Ginrei Kojaku, and allowed him to survive the explosion of Mayuri Kurotsuchi's anti-Arrancar landmine with no critical injuries He withstood Uryū's Sprenger technique with no actual damage. Cero: He can fire red Cero blasts from his mouth, like many other high-class Hollows and Arrancar. His Cero is quite powerful, creating a fissure, even when it was dissipated by Kisuke Urahara's Nake, Benihime. Bala: Yammy can fire red Bala blasts from his fists, which, while weaker than Cero blasts, are much faster. He can fire a multitude of these in quick succession. Descorrer: A technique used by Espada-level Arrancar, and sometimes others, to open a portal to the Garganta between the Human World and Hueco Mundo. Yammy used this ability during the first Arrancar invasion of Karakura Town. It tears open the dimensional fabric separating the worlds, revealing a tunnel of whirling, torrential energy which must be focused and solidified to create a discernible pathway. Zanpakutō: Ira: The handle is red, and the guard is a rounded rectangle with two protrusions on each side. Resurrección: Its release command is "Get Pissed Off, Ira!". Upon release, Yammy's Zanpakutō explodes in an outpouring of spiritual power, and Yammy grows to a monstrous size, reminiscent of a "kaiju". His skull ridges become more pronounced, taking on the appearance of two large, bony, white head coverings, extending to the back of his head. His white mask fragments fuse to his face, becoming his actual lower jaw. His red estigma now extends back from his face into two long flame markings. The majority of his body is tan in color, with his thin ponytail becoming longer. His body transforms drastically, with his torso remaining largely the same, but growing eight large, white elephant-like legs on each side of his lower body, which extends back from his torso. These legs are connected to his body by white carapace-covered joints, leading up to the base of a bony tail club, similar to those of an Ankylosaurus. On each leg, he has three large toes, which extend backwards from the front to the back of the leg. Large purplish-gray cylindrical tubes form on his elbows, which can be used as piston-like rams. He gains five large, black cylindrical tubes on his back about half of the length of the tubes on his elbows. He has six black rounded nodules along the length of his forearms. While activating his Resurrección, Yammy's number changes from 10 to 0. Resurrección Special Ability: Yammy's physical abilities increase at an indefinable rate when released. Enhanced Cero: While in his released form, Yammy can use a much more powerful Cero, which he charges in front of his mouth. Its range is extremely wide, in proportion with Yammy's increased size after releasing. Cero Oscuras: A black Cero that can only be used by the Espada in their Resurrección. Yammy attempted to use a Cero Oscuras against Ichigo, but the latter caused it to backfire by launching a Getsuga Tenshō at Yammy as he was charging it. Enhanced Bala: In Yammy's released form, his Bala can easily hurl Ichigo away from a large distance, destroying part of the battlefield at the same time. It is proportionally bigger and stronger in accordance with Yammy's increase in size. Enhanced Hierro: Yammy's Hierro is further enhanced in this form. He remains completely unharmed after his fight against Sado, Rukia Kuchiki, and Renji Abarai. He only received minor pain from a Hadō #33: Sōkatsui fired at point-blank range, which he mostly ignored. Though somewhat dazed, he survived with no damage when a Cero Oscuras he was charging exploded in his mouth because of a Getsuga Tenshō Ichigo Kurosaki fired to counter it. When hit by a Getsuga Tenshō from a Hollow mask-enhanced Ichigo, Yammy received only a minor cut on his neck. He took a La Muerte attack to the face from Sado's Brazo Izquierda del Diablo with no damage. Enhanced Strength: While in his released form, Yammy's already enormous strength further increases. He dispatched two of his opponents with little effort. When he threw Rukia to the ground, she could not recover due to the force of the throw being too hard on her body. He can bite through buildings with ease. He outmatched Sado's strongest attack when he was using his Brazo Izquierda del Diablo. Enhanced Endurance: Yammy has shown persistent resistance as after being repeatedly wounded he was able to get up and continue fighting, a durability that was noted by Sixth Division Captain Byakuya Kuchiki. Enhanced Spiritual Power: While in his released form, his Reiatsu increases explosively. Yammy boasts he is the strongest among the Espada. A statement that is supported by his ability to keep Captains Byakuya Kuchiki and Kenpachi Zaraki, both known for their prowess in battle, occupied for a significant amount of time and even injure them. He used his Reiatsu as a shield and expanded it out as an explosion, which affected the surrounding area. His Reiatsu is orange-red in coloration. Rage-powered Evolution: Yammy's release increases in size and strength as he becomes angrier. When Yammy's anger reaches a certain level, his Resurrección evolves, increasing his bulk. Upon taking this form, his damaged mask is restored, and all previous injuries are healed. The black piston-like protrusions on his back become more like extensions of his vertebrae, and he gains two massive horns on his back. He gains multiple horns on his head, with some covering his lower jaw, and crack-like markings frame his eyes. His arms are positioned in knuckle-walk position, and his legs are hairy, ending in short, stubby toes, giving Yammy an ape-like appearance. Yammy's visible abdominal muscles disappear, being hidden by a portly belly, and his tail becomes more hairy and ape-like, losing its large club. His extra sets of legs are lost as well. Weaknesses Pesquisa: Yammy's ability to detect spiritual pressure was pointed by Ulquiorra to be severely under-developed to the point of failure to perceive the overall strength of enemies and allies alike. It even hampers his effectiveness to fight stronger opponents without testing their abilities first, which had led to his arm getting severed on his first encounter with a Bankai-enhanced Ichigo. Yammy has a pet, which is a small, dog-like Arrancar named "Kukkapūro". It looks like a small brown dog, has a Hollow hole in its chest, and has its Hollow mask covers the entirety of its face, along with two little bony antennae sticking out of the top of the mask.
