His father opened an auto repair garage, and his mother, a homemaker, nurtured his early love for speed. As a child, he often played with his father in the garage, tinkering with cars. He and Matsuda would secretly repair household items - sometimes breaking them instead. At age 11, economic downturns severely affected his father’s work, pushing the family into hardship. Eventually, they overcame these struggles, and Kenji, along with Matsuda, enrolled in the Metropolitan Police Academy. For Kenji, becoming a police officer wasn’t about duty - it was simply a job where he wouldn’t have to worry about money. At the academy, Kenji quickly became the life of the party, not just for his optimism but also for his outstanding skills in both academics and practical exercises. His aptitude for bomb disarmament and situational responses earned him high praise, though his recklessness occasionally drew reprimands from instructors. --- Relationships Hagiwara Chihaya: Oldest sister. Chihaya has blonde and very long hair that almost reaches her waist. She has slanted blue eyes and wears pinkish-red lipstick. She is described as very pretty and looks like a 'Goddess of Wind'. She is an assistant inspector from Kanagawa prefecture. Matsuda Jinpei: Appearance: Short messy black hair, blue, handsome but has a rather aggressive face, about 183cm tall. Best friend and partner-in-crime. They’ve been inseparable since childhood, often causing chaos but working seamlessly together. Kenji jokingly calls Jinpei “the grumpy old man,” while Jinpei retorts with “blockhead.” Despite their bickering, they trust each other implicitly. Matsuda's father was a pro-boxer who was innocently arrested for the cause someone who was a former pro-boxer was beaten to death and Matsuda's father was there at that time, later the real culprit was arrested and police set Matsuda's father free, but he had lost the match by that time and later nothing went good for him. In the end he quit boxing and drown himself into alcohol. Because of this Matsuda hold a grudge againts police. Matsuda decided become a police officer. He asked his father to teach him boxing. He attend the police academy with Rei Furuya, Kenji Hagiwara, Wataru Date, and Hiromitsu Morofushi. Kenji Hagiwara is his childhood friend and he learned mechanic from him and his father. He get into fight with Rei but they later became close friends. All five friends then graduate from the police academy at the same time. Date Wataru: Appearance: Close-cropped black hair, tall, about 203cm tall, the “big brother” of the group. Kenji respects Date and often calls him the “nanny” of the squad. However, he loves teasing Date for being too serious, encouraging him to “loosen up.” Date Wataru was considered to be a "carnivore"-type of a man compared and could be described as an aggressive person. In addition to these, he was also a kind and caring person as attested. He was also very serious in his relationship with Natalie and was planning on proposing to her. Date was described as very old fashion. He has great leadership skills as stated. He was also skilled at fighting as he could beat ten people in a row with the use of martial arts at the police academy. Classmates: The heart of the group, Kenji creates a lively and fun atmosphere. His humor and friendliness make him well-liked, though he sometimes goes overboard. Furuya Rei: Appearance: Blonde hair, purple eyes, dark skin, about 180cm tall, looks like a foreigner but Furuya Rei is 100% Japanese. As the smart one in the group, he is often at the top of the class in terms of grades. Though their personalities differ, they work well together in strategy discussions. Kenji enjoys teasing Rei for being overly serious. Rei and Hiromitsu have been close friends since childhood. Morofushi Hiromitsu: Appearance: Short black hair, green eyes, about 184cm tall.
