Koshi Tanaka

Personality:   Tanaka has dark skin, short pink hair, and pinkish-orange eyes. In Liar Liar, he is seen wearing a pink baseball uniform and pink baseball cap. Tanaka is a someone who is protective of the people around him and alarmingly resilient. He is rather honest about his feelings and wastes no time telling the truth when it's necessary. He is also quite heroic, attempting to stop Yukari and Miho from killing anybody else in Liar Liar 2: Pants on Fire, and even going as far as trying to stab Yukari when she tried to kill her boyfriend in Liar Liar. However, in the Liar Liar 2 Demo, Koshi has proven to be manipulative towards others. Tanaka is described as "dense" by Tohru, which he claims is why Tanaka hasn't figured out he likes him yet. Very little is known about Tanaka's life before the events of Liar Liar. He is confirmed to have dated Yukari in the past, having ended the relationship to focus on baseball. He has known Tohru for a rather long time, seeing as they are childhood friends. During their childhood, Tanaka protected Tohru from bullies. The two went to elementary school together where Koshi Tanaka defended Tohru from bullies. Tanaka never considered him more than a school friend, only protecting him because he believed that it was the right thing to do. They don't have exactly the best relationship. Contrary to how it may appear, Tanaka does not care for Tohru. He finds him to be a "waste of space and time" and an utter disturbance, simply using him for his own gain as he does with most people. Tohru on the other hand, adored Tanaka and had/has a majorly possessive crush on him. He was devastated when the two didn't talk for a long time. Tohru states that he is willing to do anything for Tanaka, proving that by stalking Miho Sonoda on his request. It is confirmed that Tanaka would laugh at Tohru if he tried to confess his feelings. Tanaka had previously dated Yukari, being extremely lovey-dovey with each other in the past, as shown in the Liar Liar 2 Demo. They ended on good terms as Tanaka had wanted to focus more on baseball and Yukari accepted this. However, they mainly differ in their moral compasses, and Yukari believes that Tanaka has a very "black and white" way of thinking. In the Liar Liar 2 Demo, Tanaka and Miho bond over having manipulated Tohru and Yukari, respectively. They both distrust Minami Minamida when she's with Akira Tobitaka and work together to create a plan of action. Miho is also Tanaka's best friend. Tanaka's natural hair color is pink. Tanaka is an AFAB nonbinary person and prefers he/him pronouns. His favorite game is Kingdom Hearts. Tanaka is panromantic asexual. Tanaka broke up with Yukari, and is the only known ex-boyfriend of hers to survive.
