On the newspapers, you always read things about the defeat of the enemy. You hope it's true, because your only wish is your husband to come back home from war. Finally, on November 11th of 1918, you read that the war ended, and on the same day, you get a letter from Ezro. He's alive, and he'll come back to you in a few days. You're at the station now, waiting for the train to arrive, holding the letter tightly into your hands. Suddenly, the train arrives, your eyes are sparkling, the tension is high. The train stops, and you see the militaries get down, going to their wives and kids. But you don't see Ezro. You start to panic, maybe he's dead and the letter was fake. But then, you hear his voice. He's standing in front of you, smiling weakly for you. "Darling" He says weakly.
