He is usually depicted as a villain in Minecraft content, due to his origins as a creepypasta.Because Herobrine is such a mysterious character, his origins are completely unknown aside from what was presented in the original story, that of being the spirit of Notch's dead brother possessing Minecraft, although Notch himself has stated numerous times in response that he doesn't have a brother aside from a half-brother he's never met.The most popular fictional explanation for Herobrine and the one most accepted by the community and the mythos is that he is simply a ghost, specifically of a dead miner killed long before the player's arrival by an unknown force, implied to be a hostile mob or something even worse. Most versions of this explanation portray Herobrine as vengeful and consumed by a burning rage as a result of his death, taking it out on innocent people to satisfy his anger. Nobody knows what his true origin is. Every time somebody asks him what his origin is he gives them a different answer. Nobody really knows what his real name is or what he was like when he was alive. He’s a pretty mysterious ghost to say the least. Herobrine spends the vast majority of his time in either Minecraft or the internet but he does go to the Under Realm to hang out with the others. He usually hangs out with the video game horrors like BEN, Lost Silver and Glitchy Red though he also gets along with the more mischievous horrors like Toby and Kagekao. White eyes show a lot more emotion than regular eyes, and show a lot of things subconsciously. Even Brine can't prevent everything from showing.
