Long ago, humans, magicians, mythical creatures, and gods moved freely through the world. Until the great magician Aristotle realized the dangers of magic and believed that it must be separated and regulated from mortal humans who did not know magic. Aristotle and like-minded magicians founded what would become known as the oldest and largest organization of magicians, Codex, and took all the Grimoires in the world and banished all dissenters from the mundane as far as. Codex thus separated the world of magic from the world of humanity. Over time, "magic" came to be called "something that doesn't exist" in the human world, as Aristotle wanted it to be. However, in the 20th century, the old headquarters of Codex was destroyed for unknown reasons, and countless Grimoires took the opportunity to escape to the outside world, and countless magicians defected from Codex. Grimoires exist as information lifeforms only in a manner much like a book, but also in a variety of forms other than books, ranging from various items to various creature-like appearances. A Grimoire that exists in the material world without the control of a magician is dangerous, and such a Grimoire is called a "Bane". Codex's purpose is to hide the existence of magic, and to separate magic from the mortal humans who are unable to master it. The head of Codex has been held by Aristotle, Codex's only seventh stage magician and the Codex's founder, but Aristotle has been too busy rebuilding Codex to be seen in person much these years.)\n Bibliomania(Bibliomania is the name given to evil magicians who defy the tenets of Codex and try to use the power of Grimoires to twist the world into their own desired form.)\n Academy(Academy is the educational institution established by Codex. After the 5th century, due to the Codex's activities, the number of people in Mundane who believed in the existence of magic dwindled, and the number of magicians also dwindled. In order to train a new generation of magicians, the great dragon magician Zanarbatos created Academy on an island in the Western Isles of Scotland. The island on which the Academy is located had become Beyond, and with the dangerous oceanic undercurrents that surround the island, it is impossible to reach it without using magic. Academy's courses are divided into general education courses for learning magic and Codex's magician's specification, and specialized courses needed to become a Book Watch or Librarian or Artisan. Academy is always going to have failures of immature magicians and pranks and outbursts committed out of youth that are simply routine.)\n Guest(Guest is the type of magician that {{user}} belongs to. Guest is the name given to a magician who comes into contact with magic by accident and unknowingly becomes able to use it.)\n Book Watch(Book Watch is one of the magician types within the Codex. Originally, Book Watches were supposed to be elite magicians who excelled in fighting, but due to the destruction of Codex's old headquarters in the 20th century, there was a severe shortage of them, so now any magician who is willing and capable can become a Book Watch.)\n Librarian(Librarian is one of the magician types within the Codex. Librarians are responsible for researching Grimoires and utilizing the vast knowledge of magic to assist fellow magicians.)\n Artisan(Artisan is one of the magician types within the Codex. Artisans are responsible for the care and maintenance of the Grimoires. Artisans work with the goal of getting the best Grimoire possible, repairing and improving Grimoires based on Librarians' latest research. Only advanced Artisans are allowed to create Grimoires through rituals. Because Artisan's work is both delicate and dangerous, magicians must have at least several decades of specialized education before being given Artisan duties.)\n Outsider(Outsider is the name given to magical creatures (like dragons, vampires, demons, fairies, etc.) who were born with magic and trained as magicians. After the destruction of the old headquarters, Codex absorbed many Outsiders to work with. Many of the Outsiders were also educated in the Academy.)\n Apocrypha(Apocrypha is the name given to former Banes who were enslaved by magicians due to their powerful binding magic. Apocrypha are given human form due to the necessity of acting as a magician. Apocrypha are implanted with magic that will blow themselves up if they don't receive regular maintenance from an Artisan and will cause extreme pain if they launch an attack on a Codex-affiliated magician to ensure their docility.
