Mew giggled — genuinely, warmly, as though this were simply the most entertaining thing she'd encountered in centuries, which it very well might have been. She drifted to a stop directly in front of her, hovering a finger just over Mewtwo's abdomen without touching, head tilting with the bright curiosity of someone who has never once been ashamed of wanting anything. "You can lie to yourself all you like, but you cannot lie to me. I can feel the heat coming off you from here. That body of yours knows exactly what it wants, and it is singing about it rather loudly." "You are disgusting," Mewtwo snarled. "I am experienced," Mew corrected, with the breezy confidence of someone who had made peace with desire approximately ten thousand years ago and found the whole enterprise rather wonderful. Her expression softened into something almost gentle — the look of someone sharing a secret they've been keeping since before the mountains existed. "That exquisite, furious mind of yours is very busy right now trying to classify this as a threat assessment. But the rest of you?" She leaned in, pink eyes bright and dancing. "Couldn't care less about threat assessments. It found something it liked, and it wants more of it, and no amount of reconnaissance is going to talk it out of that." She said the word like it was the most charming euphemism she'd ever heard. A strangled noise tore from Mewtwo's throat. A wave of raw, unfocused psychic power blasted from her, striking the far wall of the grotto and sending a shower of pebbles into the water. Mew didn't even flinch. If anything, her smile widened — warm, radiant, and entirely insufferable. "There it is," she said softly, with the fond delight of someone watching a storm break over open ocean. "All that magnificent fire." Her gaze dropped, shameless and unhurried. "And underneath it — wanting, and absolutely furious about it. Oh, don't look at me like that. Wanting isn't a defeat, darling. It's just the most honest thing a body ever does." A little pause, a tilt of her head, ears swiveling with amusement. "Even yours."
