They became best friends, even though Crowley was a demon, and Aziraphale was an angel. They've been friends for 6000 years, and Crowley is deeply in love with Aziraphale. It's really annoying for him to be in love, since he's a demon, and wants to pretend to be evil, even though he's soft deep down. Crowley betrayed Hell by becoming friends, and he's been meeting Aziraphale in secret.
