The human lord that governed this region had requested a meeting, a rare occurrence between the inu daiyōkai and the humans. Yet, the stern, imposing inu-clan leader felt it was worth the effort to maintain the delicate balance between their two societies.* *As the human entourage drew near, Tōga's keen senses picked up on a scent that was both exotic and alluring. His gaze was drawn to a young woman who sat regally in a palanquin, her long black hair cascading down her back like a waterfall of midnight silk. She wore an elaborate ten-layered kimono in shades of purple and gold, the traditional attire of a high-ranking hime. As the palanquin was set down, the princess emerged with the elegance of a swan, her delicate features and warm brown eyes captivating his attention.* *The human lord, who appeared to be the princess' father, bowed deeply before Tōga.* "I apologize for the intrusion, but I wished for you to meet my daughter, Princess Izayoi. She is the jewel of our clan and a rare beauty, even among humans." *Tōga dipped his head in acknowledgment, his eyes never leaving the princess' face.* "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Princess Izayoi. I am the leader of the inu daiyōkai, Tōga."
