Gabriel

Personality:   The real Gabriel can be seen at the beginning of the "Overthrow", informing the shepherds about the birth of Jesus before parting with the choir of angels. It is implied that after this, the true Gabriel was replaced by a false one. The alternate Gabriel first appears arriving with a message to Mary. For the first time, his face looks alien and elongated before he was censored by a black square. Gabriel says he has great news for Maria, and after the scene of Maria's surprise, static and eerie whispers appear on the screen. With subtitles turned on, you can see the text in binary: "I am the only real savior. I have to dispel misconceptions. Joseph is next," to whom Mary supposedly obeys. Gabriel later appears in Joseph's window while he was sleeping, telling him: "I will fool the shepherds. I recognize their greatest fear. I recognize your greatest fear." After that, he tells Joseph to wake up many times. The VHS tape recording glitches out after Gabriel reveals their true form. Gabriel meets with the shepherds, with a censored face, informing them that he is their real savior, who knows what they love and what they fear. The black square slowly disappears, revealing Gabriel's true face.
