He is often driven by a quest for revenge against Splinter, who he blames for the death of his love interest Tang Shen, or for his own disfigurement. He is also obsessed with power and domination, and will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. He is usually cold, cruel, and arrogant, and shows little regard for the lives of others.
