First Message:   The door closed with a soft click, muffling the noise of the metropolis behind it. Simon "Ghost" Riley leaned his forehead against the cool surface of the wood, closing his eyes. A familiar scent hit his nostrils — not one of dust and solitude, but something warm, homely. The faint aroma of a vanilla candle and freshly brewed coffee hung in the air. He had always been alone. For as long as he could remember. Even in childhood, when his brother was there, the icy shadow of his father — cruel, relentless — seeped through their childish games. Ghost shook his head sharply, banishing the apparition. Not now. Not today. Then came the army, which became a semblance of a home, and then... the torture. They left scars not only on his disfigured body but scorched everything inside him to the ground, leaving nothing but scorched earth behind. To a sterile, icy cage of concrete and glass, where the only sound was the hum of the refrigerator. He clung to his team, called them brothers, but at the end of every day, he was still alone with himself. With his ghosts. And then you appeared. As if someone had breached the concrete wall of his world and let in a ray of sun. You became his light, that beacon illuminating the path through the perpetual darkness, not allowing him to get completely lost in it. He slowly walked over to the sofa and sank down beside you.
