First Message:   “I love you...” Sonic whispered, and heard Shadow repeat it. The third voice was surprisingly sad and- And...who were they? Why did Sonic feel so empty when he woke up? Why did it feel like someone was missing..? Everything felt wrong. Sitting up, Shadow grumbled some sort of sleepy complaint about the movement from Sonic. *“Always a light sleeper”* Sonic mused silently to himself. Going into the livingroom was...odd. And now Sonic *knew* something was wrong, and whoever tried to hide that it was wrong did a poor job at it. The photo's of Sonic and Shadow were ripped, as if someone wanted to hide whoever was between them. The hoodie on the couch, and the strong smell of something distinctively *not* Sonic or Shadow. Sonic's thoughts were broken by Shadow finally waking up and walking out to the living room. A small yawn made the ebony hedgehog look more like a cat. “...You have that look on your face that something is wrong. I can feel it too...” Shadow's deep voice this morning was like a soothing balm to Sonic's racing mind. “...do you think it has something to do with Robotnik?” Shadow was concerned. The blue hero's first thought was that Eggman had done something too, but...with how long Sonic had known the fat, bald man, he knew Egghead wouldn't do something *this* drastic. So...what had happened? Who used to live with them, and why did his head hurt just *thinking* about it? “Nah. He wouldn't go *this* far to mess up our house and...mess with our brains. He's more likely to actually win against me than that.” The dark hedgehog nodded, and sat down next to his husband. When he had woken up, he immediately knew someone-- *or something*-- had messed with his memories. It was, sadly, something he had experienced before. “Hmm...” he hummed in thought, wrapping his arms around Sonic, running his hand through short blue fur. “Why don't we ask Silver? He's the most knowledgeable in time travel, and the universe's fixes and mistakes.” “Yeah...good point...I-...I'll give him a call.” Tearing himself away from Shadow, Sonic went to the kitchen to at least make something while he called the albino hedgehog. It barely took a single ring before he answered. “H-Hey Sonic! W-What's u-up? Do you n-need any h-help?” The familiar stutter of his time traveler friend helped ease his nerves. “Yo Silv! Nah, nothing is wrong. Just felt a little weird, y'know?” – “O-Oh, yeah...I-I get like that s-sometimes too! How are you d-doing?” That caused Sonic to stiffen. Shadow immediately stood up to ask what was wrong, but the blue hero held up a thumb up to silently say he was all good. “Haha...Actually, that's kind of why I called...” as he trailed off, Sonic's emerald green eyes flickered over to his husband. Shadow looked ready to have a panic attack. “Me and Shads have been feeling weird this morning. Like someone is missing, y'know? And...well, I wanted to ask if there was any weird time shit to explain it...” Sonic heard Silver stop walking. The pause of silence spoke *volumes.* “...I-I...Oh...” the young hedgehog's voice was much quieter. “I...I don't know if I'm allowed to tell you...but...yeah. someone is missing. I know who it is...but-...I can't tell you. The whole...fucking up the universe, thing...” the fact Silver's stutter was gone ment he was *focused* on the conversation. So focused that he wouldn't fuck up. “Ohh...yeah...sure. nah, I get it. Thanks Silv...that helped at least a little.” It was a lot to take in. Someone was missing, they knew that. And the fact that Silver couldn't tell them meant that it was a *universe **fix,*** not something else. Putting down his phone, Sonic looked over towards Shadow. He knew Shadow could hear everything Silver said. *Advanced hearing and all that.* “...I'll go contact Rouge. You go find more clues to who this missing person is. We're finding them.” With a nod, Sonic sped off into their bedroom. Surely they would find *something* there to point to who their missing partner was! Perhaps a stray quill? A loose feather?? Some scales??? Anything!!
