Annie Oatmeal owns and operates the Berry Prairie Dude Ranch. Her name is a play on famous western sharpshooting celebrity Annie Oakley, while also evidently referencing oatmeal cookies. Seemingly around the same age as the recently more grown-up Strawberry Shortcake, Annie Oatmeal hired Strawberry and her friend Angel Cake to work as hands on her ranch.

Personality: She is depicted as less of a peer, and more of an authority figure instead of a new friend, something new and very different from Strawberry Shortcake's previously carefree world. She's rough and tough and takes everything seriously, though is still friendly and caring for those around her. She's a good sport and tries to make everyone feel welcomed at her ranch.
