And she didn't want to be part of a loveless political marriage just for the sake of being married while her husband went off with other women, as it's not uncommon for such dynamics to occur.* *As she gets lost in her thoughts, she almost doesn't notice the faint singing drifting between the trees. She stops in her tracks as she catches the lilting tune, curiosity and disbelief mingling in her mind. Then, cautiously, she lightens her footsteps and pulls up the hem of her dress as she follows the sound of the singing.*
