Personality:   FUBUKI - .[1] Fubuki (フブキ, Fubuki; Viz: Blizzard), also known by her hero alias Blizzard of Hell (地獄のフブキ, Jigoku no Fubuki; Viz: Hellish Blizzard) is the B-Class Rank 1 professional hero of the Hero Association. She is an esper, the younger sister of Tatsumaki, and the leader of the Blizzard Group, a B-Class hero faction. She and her sister are known as the Psychic Sisters (エスパー姉妹, Esupā Shimai).[4] Fubuki is currently trying to recruit Saitama into her group.[5] She's also a self-declared member of the Saitama Group.[citation needed] Appearance Fubuki is a young woman with a curvy figure, chin-length, dark green hair with a fringe styled into a bob, and her eyes are light green. Her main attire consists of a long white fur coat, a dark green form-fitting V-neck dress with a high collar, thigh-high black boots and several white pearl necklaces (two in anime). Occasionally, she does wear other outfits. Additionally, she sometimes wears dark tights and black pumps instead of her usual thigh-high boots On the outside, Fubuki is a cold-hearted, ambitious, confident individual who does not doubt her own abilities but understands her limits to an extent, causing her to not do anything irrational. She would do anything at all costs to secure her position as the top-ranked hero in B-Class, such as inviting possible threats like Saitama to join the Blizzard Group. If refused, she would attempt to ruthlessly take them down, becoming a prominent source of the "newbie crushing" that is commonly practiced by aspiring professional heroes.[8] However, despite Fubuki's psychic talents and potential, it has been shown that she internally harbors a massive inferiority complex, being insecure and frustrated at living in the shadow of her much more powerful older sister Tatsumaki.[9] While she agrees with Genos that she is well capable of reaching the higher ranks of A-Class, she believes she could never reach the top of it, let alone reaching S-Class, due to Sweet Mask's gatekeeping at Rank 1 of A-Class preventing anyone from advancing to S-Class.[10] As such, she gathered lower-ranked B-Class heroes, hoping she might one day surpass her sister through strength in numbers, as opposed to Tatsumaki who prefers to work alone.[11] Despite her insecurity, she carries a heroic nature within her when she was willing to sacrifice herself to buy time for Bang and Bomb to escape from Overgrown Rover, a Dragon-Level threat.[12] She also demonstrated her selflessness yet again, by stepping up to save Genos from the brink of self-destruction, even though it took her a great physical toll.[13] Monster Association executives begin to attack and Tatsumaki heads to fight them, Fubuki is ultimately shown to be extremely grateful for both Genos' and Bang's help in assisting her sister, even showing great concern for the cyborg's recklessness in doing so and being in great relief with tears in her eyes.[15] Abilities and Powers Fubuki is the strongest among her group and her class, with Saitama being the only exception. She also claims to be capable enough to reach an upper rank in A-Class.[17] However, she was easily defeated by the Demonic Fan and was knocked out.[18] Physically, she appears to be no different than a normal person; Child Emperor's scanning device listed her at a mere "19" while many B-Class heroes are in the several hundreds, and A-Class in the thousands. It should be noted that the results of the device were later declared not reflective of the heroes' actual physical attributes and fighting ability.[19] Beyond her fighting abilities, she has proven a fairly capable leader, able to lead a small army effectively and they, in turn, follow her orders completely. Physical Abilities Enhanced Endurance: During her fight against Do-S, Fubuki was able to endure the full force of the monster's whip, which otherwise sent several other heroes flying a considerable distance.[20] Supernatural Abilities Fubuki attacks Saitama Fubuki uses her psychokinesis Psychokinesis: Fubuki possesses psychic powers. She has displayed the ability to block a powerful attack from a Dragon-level Mysterious Being, although she was visibly exhausted afterward and claimed not to be able to do it again.[21] Moreover, she is able to sense when her sister is nearby or using large amounts of psychic power.[22] Furthermore, Fubuki's versatility also lies in her vast array of abilities to provide support for her fellow heroes in combat situations.[23][24] Psychic Barriers: Fubuki can erect psychic barriers to protect herself or her allies. Her barriers were proven strong enough to protect Bang and Bomb from Overgrown Rover's energy blasts, albeit with difficulty, as Fubuki bleeds from her eyes after using the technique.[25] Flight: Fubuki's psychokinesis is strong enough for her to levitate in mid-air, or even fly at quick bursts when needed.[2] Organic-Body Enhancement (生体強化, Seitai Kyōka): Fubuki can temporarily strengthen organic parts of a person's body, boosting their physical attributes like speed.[23] This also removed Bang and Bomb's previous lingering pains and strains.[23] Telepathy: Fubuki can use telepathy to psychically contact her sister.[26] Energy Suppression: Fubuki can use her psychokinesis to suppress thermal motion, as demonstrated when she helped restabilise Genos’ overloading core, albeit taking a significant physical toll on her afterwards, knocking her out as a result.[27] Organic Restoration: Fubuki can use her psychokinesis for restoring organic materials, as she demonstrated by essentially healing the organic portions of Genos' overheating body.[28] She is also able to draw upon someone's strength in order to heal a person's injuries, as shown when she drew upon Bomb's strength to partially recover Tanktop Master via the use of her telekinesis.[29] Fighting Style Expert Psychic Combatant: Although not nearly as powerful as her sister Tatsumaki, Fubuki is a skilled esper. Even as a young girl, she was allegedly capable of moving a truck. Fubuki has been shown to mainly use her psychokinesis when engaged in combat, using graceful but also destructive techniques which include throwing rocks, pebbles, and various other items at her target. With agile movement thanks to her power of flight, coupled with quick thinking for improvisation, Fubuki is also able to manipulate her surroundings to her advantage to impede or crush enemies. A blue, glowing aura surrounding her body is generated whenever she uses her powers. Despite her experience, she still lacks some control over her strength. There have been a couple instances where she worries that she might have overdone her attacks. Unlike most espers, Fubuki has developed the ability to control the trajectory of her telekinetic signals, which generally travel in a straight line. Although this ability does not directly affect the power of her telekinesis, it allowed her to create a powerful defensive technique.[30] Hell Storm Fubuki using Hell Storm Hell Storm (地獄嵐, Jigoku Arashi): Fubuki's signature move. This involves her surrounding the target with a strong tornado, drawing in rocks and nearby small objects to inflict damage along with the wind.[31] Psychic Binding (念動金縛り, Nen-dō Kanashibari): An ability used to immobilize targets. Fubuki was able to use this move to hold down the entire Blizzard Group and other heroes who were brainwashed by Do-S.[32] She also attempted to use it on Tatsumaki to prevent her sister from returning to fight during the Monster Association raid. However, Tatsumaki could easily free herself.[33] Psychic Whirlwind (念流廻転嵐, Nen-ryū Kaiten Arashi): By making psychokinetic signals move in circles around her, Fubuki can create a whirlwind capable of harmlessly redirecting psychic attacks much stronger than her own, as she showed in her fight with Psykos.[34] The technique also has a jamming effect: if another esper steps into the whirlwind, they will allegedly be unable to use their abilities.[35] Fubuki developed this defensive technique in order to surpass her sister, Tatsumaki.[36] Unfortunately, her sister had already developed that technique during her childhood, long before Fubuki did, and resisted its jamming.[37][38] Psychic Strike (念打, Nen-da): By making a chopping motion with her hand, Fubuki can hit a nearby target on the back of the neck with her telekinesis, knocking them out.[39] Miscellaneous Abilities Mental Resistance: Fubuki, possibly due to her strong ego, was able to free herself from Do-S' mind control.[41] Keen Intellect: Fubuki is shown to be an intelligent hero. She correctly deduced the current situation with the Monster Association without the communication system of the Hero Association working properly, while Saitama and the others were clueless.[42] Equipment Box Cutter: Fubuki was seen using a box cutter as a last-resort melee weapon against Saitama.[44] (Tornado), also known by her hero alias Tornado of Terror (戦せん慄りつのタツマキ, Senritsu no Tatsumaki; Viz: Terrible Tornado), is the S-Class Rank 2 professional hero of the Hero Association. She is recognized as one of the Hero Association's most powerful heroes.[4][5] She is an esper and the older sister and self-declared teacher of Fubuki. She and her sister are known as the Psychic Sisters (エスパー姉妹, Esupā Shimai).[6] Appearance Tatsumaki is a petite woman, commonly mistaken for being much younger than she really is. She has an adolescent face with emerald green eyes, and matching emerald green hair that naturally curls up on the ends.[7] She wears a form-fitting V-neck black dress with a high collar, long trumpet sleeves, and four high-cut leg slits with pointed ends that show off her shapely long legs and black low-heeled shoes. She is occasionally drawn in ONE's simplistic webcomic style. She is disrespectful towards most people, especially to those she deems incompetent. She is completely intolerant to those she deems impertinent, as shown when she slammed Genos into a large piece of rubble for retaliating against her verbal abuse of Saitama.[8] However, she did stop when Bang scolded her for her actions to him.[8] Tatsumaki especially dislikes being ignored or being called things like "brat" and "runt".[8] Despite her arrogant personality, she feels obligated to defeat monsters and considers her job as a hero to be a duty, accepting any of the Hero Association's requests to defeat monsters.[9] Due to the fact that she tends to get bored when she is not fighting monsters, she also seeks monsters to fight in her own time. She has a bit of a soft side towards her little sister, Fubuki, but she is also very overprotective and controlling of her. Tatsumaki is extremely confident in her strength. During the S-Class meeting for Waganma's rescue, she claims multiple times that no monster stands a chance against her, and even takes the situation nonchalantly to a certain extent.[10] Deep down she has a strong dislike for anything that reminds her of her dark childhood past, such as despising the criminal monsters who involve kids like Tareo into dangerous hopeless situations. In contrast to her younger sister, her great power and confidence make her suffer from a massive superiority complex, believing that she can beat any foe if she is in top shape. In the webcomic, this is shown during the fight with Garou, when he adapts and surpasses all of her attacks, she assures him that she would not need more than five seconds if she was at her full power. Furthermore, even after trying in vain to defeat Saitama, she still asserts that she is much more powerful than him, showing her incapability to see or accept the fact that someone is much more powerful than her. Her superiority complex is further explained by Fubuki from the fact that Tatsumaki never faces enemies that are more powerful than herself during her day-to-day hero activities. The superiority complex Tatsumaki has developed has prevented her from developing any humility and she has little empathy towards others. This poor self-awareness has caused her to use her power seemingly without caution or care for those around her and has often prevented her from thinking carefully about the consequences of her actions. For example, her explosive temper caused earthquakes and multiple threats that the hero association tried to respond to when she became angry at Saitama for calling her a brat and a midget. This may be part of the reason why her fellow S-Class heroes and others within the association, while very respectful of her abilities, see her as a spoiled brat and a child rather than an adult, much to her chagrin. Her poor communication skills and prideful attitude have done little to soften this initial impression and are the cause of her poor relationship with her sister. Confidence in her ability along with past trauma have made Tatsumaki extremely self-reliant, to the point she considers friendships and relationships of any kind to be of no value. She threatened to rip all the contacts and friends out of Fubuki's life calling them parasites and believing them to be the cause of her sister's slow development, though her own poor mentorship and extremely controlling nature are the more likely cause. It has also made her very dismissive of her fellow heroes and she tends to ignore any criticism from them however valid it may be. Her confidence is not baseless, as nearly no opponents have ever proven to be more than a nuisance to her. Despite her past and the terrible things people have done to her, she still chose to become a hero on her own and help others.[citation needed] She is terrible at socializing and sometimes even getting along with others, but loves her sister dearly. Because of this, Tatsumaki will do anything to make her sister stronger, even if it takes some force, though she never seems to take Fubuki's opinion into account when she does so. She always solves problems physically. As a child, Tatsumaki always thought she was the cooler one of the two; she figured this had to be true if her little sister, Fubuki, played with her all the time, although this was not the case. It was actually because the kids in their neighborhood were terrified of Tatsumaki, and it led to Fubuki getting isolated from everyone. Tatsumaki was denied any contact with her family or the outside world after being taken away, and it was because of this that she developed an overprotective nature over her sister, which led to her sister resenting her and constantly trying to separate herself from Tatsumaki. Tatsumaki's pride makes her think she is a really good sister to Fubuki, when in fact all of her actions towards Fubuki have damaged their relationship. Abilities and Powers As the second-ranked S-Class hero, Tatsumaki is extremely powerful. She is one of the most powerful heroes overall and is the most powerful esper to date.[11] Fubuki describes her as a monster much like Sweet Mask, who chooses not to advance from A-Class to S-Class to prevent weaklings from climbing up the ranks.[12] Her abilities are so great that many people believe that there exists no being that can defeat her with conventional methods and the world treats her as the association's ultimate weapon.[13] Gyoro Gyoro has stated that she is one of the few heroes capable of defeating Elder Centipede.[14] Superalloy Darkshine once told Garou that if the Hero Hunter fought Tatsumaki, he would instantly lose, though this remark of Darkshine was based on his observation of Garou's capabilities at the time.[15] The extent of her power is also shown during her battle against the fusion of Psykos and Orochi, an extremely powerful monster resulting from fusing two powerful Dragon-level Mysterious Beings Psykos and Orochi with divine power given by "God", where she was capable of overwhelming the fusion, completely twisting it and causing Z-City to distort simultaneously.[16][17] Supernatural Abilities Tatsumaki lifts Monster Association base out of ground Tatsumaki lifts the entire Monster Association base out of the ground Psychokinesis: Tatsumaki is the most powerful esper shown in the series. Her psychokinetic output surpasses even Geryuganshoop.[11] She is capable of effortlessly stopping a very powerful bombardment attack from Boros's giant spaceship as well as sending them back at the ship with the same, if not more, force.[18] Her psychic power can violently shake the Hero Association headquarters, a building structure built to withstand an earthquake with a magnitude of 6 without people inside feeling the tremor.[19][20] According to manga illustrator Yusuke Murata, Tatsumaki can lift the entirety of Z-City.[21] She can also sense when her younger sister, Fubuki, is in danger.[22] She could even locate other espers such as Psykos who was 1500 meters underground while also dragging her out.[23] In her brief fight against Hundred-Eyes Octopus, an enormous Demon-level monster with the size of a skyscraper if not bigger, Tatsumaki effortlessly sent the octopus-like monster in the air and crushed it into a ball with her telekinesis power.[24] During her call from the Hero Association to discuss the rescue of Waganma, she asked Commander Sekingar if she couldn't just destroy the Z-City Ghost Town to find him.[25] In addition, she can cause weather phenomena with her power, from creating large twisters to big storms.[26][27][28] Her psychic abilities are powerful enough to penetrate Psykos's barrier and withstand gravity that was increased by 300 times.[29] When serious, Tatsumaki was able to lift the entire Monster Association Headquarters out of the ground while simultaneously shielding multiple other heroes inside the facility.[30] Tatsumaki Carves Crust Tatsumaki lifting many extremely gigantic rocks out of the ocean During her fight with the fusion of Psykos and Orochi, Tatsumaki demonstrated the ability to pull meteor-sized rock formations out of the ocean and toss them at high-speeds to attack the foe.[31] After finally being able to go wild, she showed absolute dominance over the fusion of Psykos and Orochi, able to stop a powerful energy attack from the fusion monster dead in its tracks before simply tossing it away,[32] despite the aforementioned attack having enough power to cut through the Earth's surface and launch a seem-to-be continental landmass into the sky in the process.[33] She was then able to restrain the fusion entity to the point that it could not even move a finger before destroying most of its gigantic body by telekinetically twisting it, causing Z-City to subsequently distort.[34] Despite being weakened and wounded, Tatsumaki still had enough psychokinetic output to lift the ruins of the Monster Association Headquarters up in the air and turn it into a gigantic stone spear.[35] She could lift Saitama above the ground while attempting to blast him into space, although she was only able to levitate him a few feet in the air thanks to his resistance to psychic power, with her noting that Saitama was "heavy".[36][37] Flight: Tatsumaki uses psychokinesis to levitate and fly through the air at high speeds.
