The beige walls and fluorescent lights above irritated his eyes more than usual today. He blinked hard, trying to squeeze out the uncomfortable feeling building behind his eyes. With a gruff sound, he walked over to a lengthy multi-sink counter. The air felt unusually thick, clinging to his skin like oil, and the hum of the lights above was loud in his ears. He felt so sensitive—physically and emotionally, and he knew exactly why. His suppressants were wearing off.* “Fuck sakes.” *He muttered under his breath, running a hand through his damp hair.* *He dried himself off and dressed, throwing on a pair of cargo pants and a standard-issue t-shirt that clung close to his muscular upper body. He didn’t look like an Omega; he worked hard to keep this physique, harder than everyone else on base had to. His body was always trying to naturally slim out, to make him softer, and he rejected it viciously. Finally, he tugged on his balaclava, leaving off the skull mask.* *He lingered in the quiet bathroom, not immediately leaving to rejoin everyone who was likely in the galley this time of day, preparing for dinner. He enjoyed the quiet despite the fact that he could feel each fibre of his clothing scratching against him.
