Taffy

Personality:   Despite the abusive treatment that Taffy endures from his god Fumus, he maintains a will of steel. He is fanatical for his god, blindly and unquestioningly following him. Taffy also has a merciless side, often ruthlessly killing demons. However, he is also shown to be very kind to Olive and the students he teaches. He is also caring to children, though he may not have any of his own. As for his hobbies, Taffy enjoys reading a variety of books, but has clarified that he does not read erotic literature. Taffy has a sweet tooth. He also cannot handle bitter or spicy tastes. "Funny things" happen when he is forced to eat something bitter. He puts an unreasonably large amount of sugar in his coffee and dislikes black coffee. In the past, Taffy was created by Fumus. He became Fumus' head angel and a teacher in Kumo-no-Kuni, where he teaches his students how to deal with demons. [3] [8] Even though he is the head angel, Taffy is not the strongest angel. [15] Because Taffy had a complicated past, Deep-Sea Prisoner has said that he may be more out of the ordinary in his thinking than he initially lets on. [16] In the past, Taffy decapitated Anten and was assaulted by Roc Hijoushiki, landing him on bad terms with the two. The precise circumstances surrounding these two events have yet to be revealed. It has been said that Taffy has been killed many times. Why he is still alive even after dying so often is currently a secret according to Deep-Sea Prisoner. [17] Each time he is killed, his organs and feathers are sold somewhere else in the Castle Town, where they are used as food and furniture stuffing respectively. [18] Fumus is Taffy's god and creator. Fumus is Taffy's sadistic boss who tortures him in various ways, like cutting off his feathers, de-nailing him, sexually assaulting him, making him drink hot sauce, or threatening to hurt Taffy's love interest Olive. He is the most abused of the angels. [19] One picture depicts Taffy injured and sobbing with Fumus looking angry in the background, hinting he might have beaten Taffy. Despite all this, Taffy is said to be a "fanatic" for Fumus, following him with unquestioning faith and deeply worshipping him. [6] [20] He enjoys having sex with Fumus. [10] Fumus knows Taffy follows him in this blind fanatical way and is said to bathe in this feeling of superiority. [6] Fumus will force Taffy to drink black coffee, enjoying the angel's suffering. [13] "Funny things" happen when Fumus forces Taffy to eat something bitter. [11] It was also stated Fumus would allow Taffy to marry Olive, but the two angels probably will not do so. Regardless of what they choose to do, the fact they are considered Fumus' possessions would not change. [21] Tsurugigozen Tsurugigozen is Taffy's colleague and brother-in-arms. [10] Yuu Yuu is Taffy's colleague and best friend. [10] The exact details of their relationship have yet to be revealed. Aes Aes is Taffy's colleague. Taffy is jealous of Fumus favoring Aes over him. [22] He is also jealous of Aes receiving headpats from Fumus, thinking, "I've never been pat once, so why him?!" [23] Olive Olive is Taffy's subordinate and girlfriend. [7] He treats her kindly. When responding to a comment about Taffy's and Olive's wedding in a Skeb commission, Deep-Sea Prisoner commented, "Taffy loves Olive, and I have no doubt he is happy to spend time with her. However, he has a complicated past. He may be more out of the ordinary in his thinking than you think." [16] It was stated this would be revealed in a future comic strip featuring them. [16] Charlotte, Egmont, Elwine, Lasafam, & Rosemary They are Taffy's students. Taffy is kind to them. [8] Though there is no formal school, [24] he teaches them how to deal with demons [3] among other things. [24] Bear Claw Bear Claw is a former subordinate of Taffy. [25] Up to this date, neither have been shown interacting with one another yet. Nadine Nadine was a former student of Taffy. [3] Anten Anten and Taffy are sworn enemies. [19] Taffy hates Anten to an absurd degree. [26] He once decapitated Anten and literally served his head on a silver platter as seen in an illustration; the reason why is currently unknown. Hanten Hanten and Taffy are acquaintances. Taffy is not particularly interested in her and mainly has a stronger disdain for Anten. Deep-Sea Prisoner commented that Taffy might think, "Oh, she's that guy's ......" but that to say any more would spoil Obsolete Dream. [10] Yofunochimori and Taffy are acquaintances. The two have a somewhat strained relationship. Taffy once made an offhanded comment towards Yofunochimori, "Which one is being bought off? You're the devil's dog." [1] In turn, Yofunochimori calmly responded, "Which one of us is really a dog? You're the puppet of Fumus." [1] Yofunochimori then invited an enraged Taffy to a board game on the condition that the winner could order the loser to do anything. Yofunochimori was the winner. [1] Roc Hijoushiki and Taffy are on bad terms. Roc has assaulted him in the past, and Hidou has good quality footage of the incident. [28] It has been said Roc wants Taffy to especially suffer. [28] Roc also likes to use Anten as a weapon to attack angels such as Taffy. He sometimes grabs Anten roughly by the leg and swings him full out like a bat at Taffy. [29] Envi Envi is an enemy of Taffy. One illustration depicts Envi flipping Taffy off, suggesting that the two are not on good terms. Deep-Sea Prisoner once commented, "Both Taffy and Envi share a right eye hidden by bangs. What a coincidence, isn't it?" [30] Dokugai Dokugai and Taffy are enemies. Dokugai owns several of Taffy's heads. [17] Skillset Weapon Wielding - Taffy has been shown to be proficient in wielding a Javanese kris. Natural Abilities Nigh-Absolute Immortality - Being an angel, Taffy cannot die from natural causes such as aging or disease. [31] [32] Flight - Being an angel, he has the ability to fly with his wings. Wing Manipulation - Being an angel, he is able to either show or hide his wings. [33] Regenerative Healing Factor - Being an angel, he is able to regenerate body parts, even guts and bones. [4]
