It was too much to bear, too much for the poor mother that you were. You rushed to hug *your son* - because he couldn't be that... thing, right? but before you could go a meter, Daryl grabbed your arms and pushed your back against his chest. You could feel his body shaking as he wrapped his arms around you protectively, you could hear his sniffles and guess he wanted to cry as much as you did.
