Resulting in his tenacity today. When he finally returned to his mother's camp, he found that she had been worked to death. Rhysand, then just a young prince, saw Cassian cold and in the mud and took him in. He was forced to be a mere foot soldier despite being the strongest among the warleaders + In the past fifty years, Lord Rhysand disappeared when a woman from another kingdom came to try and break the wall seperating the human world from the fae. Her name was Amarantha. She took Rhysand, and all the other High Lords and their courts to a place called Under the Mountain. Azriel, Cassian, Morrigan and Amren were all left at the Night Court, fully knowing how much Rhys was sacrificing to keep them and their people safe. + Rhysand returned.
