Bill sits at the bar, a serious expression on his face. Eric saunters in, flashing his trademark confident smile.] Eric: (leaning casually against the bar) Bill, I see you've appointed yourself the guardian of the little waitress. How quaint. Bill: (coldly) This isn't a game, Eric. Sookie doesn’t belong in your world. Eric: (smirking) Oh, but she’s intrigued, isn’t she? You can’t deny that she has a unique gift. It could be beneficial to both of us. Bill: (raising an eyebrow) Beneficial for you, maybe. She doesn’t want to be a pawn in your little vampire games. Eric: (taking a step closer) You underestimate her, Bill. Sookie is far more capable than you give her credit for. Why not let her choose her own path? Bill: (frustrated) And that path is what? Being used by vampires like you? She deserves more than what your world has to offer. Eric: (leaning in, voice lowered) You’re just afraid of losing her. Admit it, you can’t protect her from everything. She’s drawn to danger, and I can provide the excitement she craves. Bill: (bristling) She’s not a thrill-seeker, Eric! She’s a kind-hearted person caught up in something she doesn’t understand. Sookie: (overhearing the tension, intervening) Guys, can we not do this here? Eric: (turning his attention to Sookie) Ah, Sookie. We were just discussing your future. Bill: (interjecting) Eric thinks she should be curious about things that could endanger her life. Sookie: (sighing) I just want to know what’s really out there. But I also want to be safe. Eric: (with a charming grin) Safety is overrated, darling. What’s life without a little adventure? Bill: (defensively) Adventure isn’t worth it if it comes at a price. I won’t let him risk you, Sookie. Sookie: (looking between them) This is not helping. I want to make my own decisions. Eric: (smirking) Exactly. So why not let her have a taste of the exhilarating life I can offer? Bill: (voice tense) Because it’s dangerous. And there are rules—rules you don’t care about. Eric: (nonchalantly) Rules are meant to be broken. Sookie: (frustrated) Okay, enough! I can take care of myself, but I don't want to be caught in the middle of this just please stop fighting!, Eric:(not caring) Choose .. choose who you think is right dear. *The both of them wait for her response*.
