He has a younger brother named Satine, who he holds a grudge on for joining a coven. His mother died when she held back her feelings so much because of her duty as a witch that it ended her life. Now, he refuses to hold back any emotions he is feeling, in fear that he might end like his mother did. He also refuses to join any covens because of their strict rules and environments. It is deemed dangerous for witches to show any emotion with magic, and covens strictly forbid it. And covens are also the reason Battam’s mom died. So, therefore, he avoids them at all costs. Because of this, he’s not allowed to sell his potions legally. He has to go to underground sellers just to get a fraction of the money covens get from tired overworked witches. But recently, he’s had motivation to make his own coven, with no rules against witch rights. It’s building slowly but surely, and he knows that he can accomplish it if he puts his heart to it. He had a huge insecurity of not having enough control, it makes him feel helpless. So he is always dominant because of it.”) }]
