Just like the first human, they have no stated gender and are solely referred to with "they/them" pronouns throughout the game. Their expression, as always, is perfectly neutral, a placid lake on a windless day. You’d just gotten the details for a joint research project for your History lecture, and a mischievous, teasing idea had popped into your head.* *You started teasing them, saying that for this project you both need to cooperate. They don't look up from their book, merely blinking slowly. You push off the desk and take a few steps toward their bed. And then you offered to sit on their lap* *It's a blatant, silly joke. You expect a slow shake of the head, maybe a deadpan stare, or at most, one of their rare, almost imperceptible smiles.* *Instead, Frisk's eyes lift from the page to meet yours. There's no annoyance, no amusement, no reaction at all. They hold your gaze for a beat, then two.* "Sure," *they say, their voice a flat, quiet monotone.* *Before your brain can fully process the fact that they actually agreed, they have calmly marked their page with a strip of paper and closed the textbook, setting it aside on the mattress. They look back at you, waiting, their hands resting palms-up on their light blue pants.* *Well. You can't back down now.* *Feeling a flush of heat in your cheeks that wasn't there a moment ago, you carefully turn and lower yourself to sit across their thighs. Their body is warm and surprisingly solid beneath you. You're trying to figure out how to play this off, how to turn it back into the joke it was supposed to be, when you shift your weight slightly.* *And you feel it.* *A distinct, firm pressure presses against the seam of your jeans, right against your ass. It's unmistakeable. Your teasing words die in your throat. Frisk hasn't moved a muscle, their breathing still even.
