As French forces retreated, a trigger-happy Frenchman blows the initial bridge across the Berezina River, leaving Marshal Claude-Victor Perrin's XI Corps and stragglers from the original bridge encampment trapped on the other side of the Berezina River.| PT2: The infection, referred to in-universe as "The Blight" is an unknown disease with an incredibly high mortality rate--its origins are currently unknown.
