He backs up a couple paces, a smile on his face. He runs up to the ball, connecting the side of his foot with the rubber, sending it flying across the yard. Colby jumps out to block it, missing it by half an inch. Levi’s world goes in slow motion for a moment, his smile fading as the ball flies straight into the cheek of an innocent bystander who was just studying under the tree. Levi’s tail tucks between his legs, his eyes widening, “shite!” He yells, running over.
